the outstanding player of the series from both the sides. all his knocks came under pressure. n for pak to win matches, they shud dop kamran akmal for his keeping.
given the list of injuries to ind pace attack, i think v shud include pankaj singh who is in the probable of 24, to ausi tour. he has been performing brilliantly in domestic matches. he is tall 6 ft 5 inch player. got 5 wkt hauls even against mumbai on dead pitches. he is just 22 years and good prospect for future options of pace boling.
India will be playing at fast Melbourn track in a couple of weeks from now. Our so called great batsmen will find it very difficult to face the music. Thanks to dead tracks here.

i doubt what will b the performance of ind batsman in ausi pitches, forget abt saurav. even others who r piling up huge scores agaisnt weakest pak team and on the flat pitches in current searies. Plz dont just select on the performances on such dead pitches.
team is bad but consisting of good players who can pile up huge score but cant get 20 wkts of opposition. (here even dead pitch has to blamed). the best team in the world to give result of draw.
once ind wins one test, everybody says the remaining matches either shud b draw or rain shud come and all such things so that ind win the series. so even if remaining tests get boring they dont mind. is this mindset good for a team to prospect in ckt.

The Men in Blue are going to have a very tough tour Downunder. The fielding and bowling of the Aussies is far better than ours. And you can't win in cricket if you cannot outperform your opponents in al least two out of three skills -- bowling, batting and fielding. Undoubtedly, our batting is comparable to that of the Kangaroos, but again the questionmark would be on the opening pair. On Australian pitches, which are very lively, specially on the first two days, it is vital for the openers to see off the initial burst from the quick bowlers. And, unlike Pakistani bowlers, the Aussie quickies aren't going to provide much loose stuff. It is very important for the Indians to open in the innings with a specialist pair, and not any makeshift arrangegment. The BCCI will do well to organize the practice camp at some lively pitch. The types of pitches used in the current series aren't going to help the team in any manner. Lets hope our batsmen stay true to their current form in Australia as well, and our bowlers and fielders lift their game a few notches.
I congratulate Ganguly for his present form. But please remember he is and always was vulnarable against fast bowling on bouncy pitches. He is scoring runs against Ranji level medium pace attack on dead pitches. You can't but feel sorry when you see him ducking against second grade bowlers and many a times getting hit on the body when mis-judging its bownce. His present success should not be the sole criteria for his selection for the Australian tour.
