Why BCCI is so afraid of ICL and is threatening the players about their banning from playing for India and for states? Only because ICC has recognised BCCI, why should it act as a bureaucrat in deciding about the total country's cricket. Why BCCI is against ICL? ICL is only requesting for some support but BCCI is behaving stupidly and is acting like a factionist body. This approach is not good for country's cricketers. Why should there be any competition for BCCI? With internal competition only Indian cricketers will improve to the level of today's Australia.
i think the players both in ICL and BCCI are playing for money, and its a valid reason, you ask current indian players to play for the nation and board will not give them any money well no body will play, its a practical thing than anything, ask sharad powar why he became president of cricket board and not of hockey or any other board, when he could have served the nation better in any other sport.rest i feel competetion for BCCI is gud cos in few coming years it is goin to become a complete mess as more and more players will leave it and more and more politicians will join it, also for icl we shud wait for a couple of years when their profits will boost and more current players get inducted in...

Sports is an expensive career. Nobody can survive here without money. If you have to compete with teams like Aus and SA that have the latest methods and technologies available, how can you keep playing without money? You need world class kits, clothes trainings and infrastructure. Also a cricketer will play from age of 20-23 till 36-37. So he has only 15 earning years. Without money there cant prepare themselves for International level. If you want to know what will happen to those who play without getting any money, look at our hockey/football/basketball players, and look at where do they stand in world rankings.
