Rahul Dravid has been the most prolific scorer in the matches won by India overseas, but Tendulkar has the highest average and also the most hundreds to his name.

RE:Tendulkar Stats Overseas

Sachin always contribute to india's success. Few years back most of them switch off the tv when he gets out. That was a one man army. Now they are performing as team that is the reason we are winning tests overseas. One induvuduals performance cannot win you a test match. Good winning team requires a consistant contributor like sachin.Success will on the way.
Amid the joy of a rare series victory, Dravid, however, admitted that the quick fall of three wickets in second innings at Oval weighed on his mind and forced him to play a sluggish knock.
Dravid, who faced a lot of criticism for not enforcing follow-on and played a 96-ball 12 in the second essay of the third Test, said he was disturbed by the turn of events and got caught up in that.
"It must have been excruciating for you all to watch so you can imagine how excruciating it must have been for me to play that. We had decided not to enforce the follow-on and suddenly to be 11 for 3, there were lots of thoughts running through your mind."
"It was just one of those days when nothing seemed to be going for me. I've had some good moments and some tough moments in my career, it happens. That's the way I can be," Dravid said.
He said though the vagaries of mind curbed his batsmanship, he wanted to lay a foundation for the players to follow.
"Sometimes I can be bloody-minded and not give it away and sometimes I can get caught up in that. That's worked a lot of times in my career and sometimes it doesn't work for me. Sourav came out and played beautifully. We just tried to set up a base for Dhoni and Laxman to go for runs, which is what they did," he said.
I think that this debate is unnecessary since the most important thing is that Team India is winning and improving with time. Also, the statistics do not reveal anything. It is a fact that Team India has given better performance in last couple of years. It may also be because of the contributions of our much maligned coach Greg. The statistics shoe that under ganguly, we won four test series abroad. The fact is that those four victories did not come agaisnt Australia, England, New Zealand or South Africa. This leaves only the suncontinent nations and substandard Zimbabwe. My personal feeling is that team India is improving with time. The idea of dropping Ganguly and Zaheer turned out to be blessing in disguise. Both of them came back to team as much improved players.

very correct. I am sincerely hoping that Sehwag, Pathan, Harbhajan will also come back like Ganguly and Zaheer.
I feel that rather than stopping the analysis as a win ratio, the author would have added more value by listing the Win- loss Ratio (no of wins divided by the number of losses)as well as the draw ratio and the loss ratio. more interesting stats would come to light. Dravid's draw ratio as well as Loss Ratio is better than Saurav's. Sunny's draw ratio is high but so is Kapil's and Azharsand wadekar's and in fact kapil's draw ratio abroad is much higher than anyone else's. In terms of loss ratio abroad, Kapil has the least loss ratio followed by Dravid.

Government of India has an online Grievance forum at http://darpg-grievance.nic.in/ The government wants people to use this tool to highlight the problems they faced while dealing with Government officials or departments like Passport Office, Electricity board, BSNL/MTNL, Railways etc etc.
I know many people will say that these things don't work in India, but this actually works as one of our colleague in CSC found. The guy I'm talking about lives in Faridabad. Couple of months back, the Faridabad Municipal Corporation laid new roads in his area and the residents were very happy about it. But 2 weeks later, BSNL dugged up the newly laid roads to install new cables which annoyed all the residents including this guy. But it was only this guy! Who used the above listed grievance forum to highlight his concern. And to his surprise, BSNL and Municipal Corporation of faridabad was served a show cause notice and the guy received a copy of the notice in one week. Government has asked the MC and BSNL about the goof up as it%u2019s clear that both the government departments were not in sync at all.
So use this grievance forum and educate others who don't know about this facility. This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about the ' System' in India. Invite your friends to contribute for many such happenings.

If you close your eyes and say the world is dark, then no one can help you. Look at the records in the recent years for all teh countries and see where India stands.

Since you have put in so much effort, if you could add a filter to eliminate results against Zim and Ban, you will get a more accurate estimate.
Also remember that Aus and Eng started playing tests abroad long before the others. Many of their overseas victories would have been against weak Indian, Pakistani, NZ and SL sides when they visited them on tours.
Not taking anything away from Aus though. They are the strongest cricketing nation by far. Barring a brief period in the early/mid 80s when Chappell, Marsh and Lillee retired during the same period, they have been either competitive or dominant in all forms of the game.

What exactly is your confusion? The first table lists overseas 'series' and the second lists overseas 'tests'

Hey just a minute...Quote"The number of series wins abroad in these 8 years is in fact more than what India has managed to achieve in it's first 67 years (from 1932 to 1999)!" Please explain this too..

7 series wins in the last 8 years compared to 5 in the 67 years before that. Buddy, I should start charging fees for my answers :-)

Just improve your IQ. This is the comparison on the number of matches played. As in early days there were less matches. It has nothing to do with your minority and pls dont mix minority with sports. There are lots of columns where you can sense differences in regards to minoritymajority.
