ganguly has been a victim of poor umpiring decisions. if not for all those blunders by the umpires, ganguly would definitely have been the top scorer in this series. people would have been talking abt ganguly and not the other batsman.

I do not agree with you. It is true that poor Gangulli was victim of poor decisions in two innings. But the way he was batting it was very unconvincing. Most of his scoring shots were between first slip and third man area. He was struggling against Anderson and Sidebottom. Even against Tramlet he was not comfortable. You can't expect Panesar to bowl from bot ends to Gangulli. He would not have survived over 50 runs in both innings considering his style of bating. But for Dhoni who succeeded him at the crease we would have ended up to less than 500 runs if Gangulli continued.
I see scumheads like hemant and jeet commenting in here about sachin playing slow, have you ever heard about strategy? that is exactly what sachin did, he was holding one side firmly, and probably that is how he maintained the pressure on england and we scored 664

The wicket is playing easier. It will be very difficult for India to 'finish' England the second time around! Kevi and the other blokes know how to bat, and you can expect a fight-back from them.
David Gower did it once earlier, and it's not difficult to expect the present bunch of batsman can keep playing for two days!
IF India wins, that will be a GREAT achievement, and will show that they are moving up a notch, in that so-called 'killer-instinct' that the Indians lack with well-known consistancy!
Anyways, looking forward to the days proceedings - speculations and expections - it's that bunch out there who will give us another round of thrills today!
AL in Australia A fan and critic of Indian Cricket
Now probably Indian will win this series and the whole process will start over again - treating the players like demi-gods and superstars, pampering them like anything, imitating their looks and hair style, all those kind of crazy gimmicks in the name of cricket. Come another test series and if the same Indian team loses then we'll march into the streets burning their cutouts, throwing stones at the players houses, etc etc. Come on guys ! Take everything in a sportsman spirit ! Cricket is just a game. Every team has to win or lose based on circumstances. Congratulate the Indian team when they win, but please don't treat them like gods. Criticize them when they loose, but don't be so emotional while doing this. Just watch the English fans; they are not burning cutouts of the English players when their team looses a test match.
RE:Indian fans, please behave more sportingly

Hi Rajeesh, I agree that Indians should not be too emotional either way. However I also dont agree that British are balanced. We know the liverpool incident, and murder of a goal keeper when he did self goal. There are mad followers of game everywhere and facts say that western people are more harmful that way. In fact expressing the joy aggressively on the field started from them. While in India, old players were celebrating the success in a dignified manner, we recently learnt showing it more on the field in front of camera after watching westerns through TV's. Your advice of asking us to be not emotional is correct but please dont state it with reference to English fans who are equally as good or as bad as us.

that is because England is a multi-sports country and has the best sporting traditions in the world....English Premier League,The Grand National,Ascot,Wimbeldon,British Grand Prix,The Open(the St.Andrews green is the best in the world) and the Rugby Union(I believe they are the current world champions) whereas our poor country has only one sport to cling onto and that is cricket and we don't have any sporting tradition so we don't know what sportsman spirit is

so abhra we are to be blamed by making cricket the only sports, we are just too emotional about cricket, and the team loses we all loose our mental strength.we need to accept our shortcomings rather than pointing out at others
The poor chap has been unlucky. Dinesh Karthick dropped two sitters at vital times in the series off his bowling. He has bowled a few wides but was much more disciplined in his behaviour, even if the Brits deserve his poor behaviour! Curbing his natural instincts and making him sit out the one dayers is not good for India. HE is a bowler who has it in him to bowl fast and take wickets. One off day should not detract from his abilities. Encourage him and he will perform for India. Hate to say this but the commentators especially Harsha were needlessly commenting about him, even when he was obviously making an effort to behave and stay out of trouble. The Mumbai factor at work, it appears. Full marks to Dravid for handing him the second new ball first and mainly for keeping him in the team. Zero for Vengu for dropping him from the one dayers.

what the commentators are saying is correct..even jadeja, sidhu etc ....have u not seen sreeshanth acting like a kid,ill mannered, showing off his chain ,tatoo, his break dance on the field,it brings shame to us also, dont u feel,i think he should be dropped in the test team tooo,so he learns a lesson

Chris is right.Sreesanth's bowling isff line in his first two spells, but was great in his third spell. He was real unlucky,Cook was dropped. He had a no ball on one which got an inside edge from Pietersen.Cricket knowledge indicates that he gives teeth to the Indian new ball attack. The only problem is he gets frustrated easily and tries too many things.Nasser was right when he said he shd just focus on an off stump line and bowl outswingers. The wickets will come.I agree Harsha goes kit kit against newcomers and ooze syrup for Tend and Dada. After all he is a 22 yr old and has given India a new Test record following the SA tour.
looking at the way Sachin was bowling sharply spinning legspinners, he could have developed into a spinning all-rounder. He was spinning the ball quite a bit.
