It does seem the era of the fab 4 is coming to a close and what better way to go than winning the Oval Test.I think the Fab 4 shd consist of Sachin,Dravid,Ganguly and Laxman.Kumble as a bowler shd be in a different group.It does look like this will be the last trip of the fab 4 to England.Despite all the current acrimony on who is greater and better,all the Fab 4 delighted us in contrasting styles.It is one of the tragedies of Indian Cricket that they rarely clicked together.As they search for the crowning glory of a series win against England,we can recall with fond memories the superlative cricket that they brought forth.
UNFORTUNATELY, WITH THE FAB FOUR FROM INDIA FOR TWO DECADES AND FIVE WORLD CUPS, WE COULD NOT WIN THE WORLD CUP IN THE GOLDEN ERA. AND I DON'T THINK WE CAN WIN FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.

This "anonymous" person didn't disclose identity,but whatever stats mentioned were totally wrong.
1.Fab 4 have not been playing for 2 decades together.
2.Only Tendulkar played 5 WCs,not others.
3.They have brought a lot of glories in last 1-decade.Earlier India knowna s tourists upto Azhar's era.Now we are winning tests in abroad consistently(WI,Pak,Aus,Eng,SA etc).In future will win series also.
4.Last but not the least,India reached world cup final in 2003.Not a mean achievement if you ignore '83 win!!!!

Glory your a**. Indian cricket hysteria is overblown and its a total myth that we are a good team. We can never win a world cup with bloody polictics that happens in this country.

Ur talking about those players who have contributed to the country for 17 yrs. I can only remember a few things...
1) TENDULKAR'S UPPER CUT FOR A SIX OFF SHOAIB AKHTAR IN THE 2003 WORLD CUP... 2) DADA'S 125 AGAINST PAKISTAN IN BANGLADESH...AND DADA CELEBRATING WITH HIS SHIRT IN LORDS.. 3) DRAVID'S WINNING SHOT AGAINST AUSTRALIA... 4) LAXMAN'S 281 WITH DRAVID AGAINST AUSTRALIA IN KOLKATA...
CMON GUYS THESE PPL HAVE ENTERTAINED US...AT LEAST APPLAUD THEM FOR THE WHOLESOME ENTERTAINMENT THAT THEY HAVE PROVIDED...

3 Cheers to Fab 4 !! We salute these guys who have provided us wholesome entertainment and cheers for more than a decade .. There have been moments - one or two here and there when we have felt let down by them ..but then these guys are humans too ! My heart goes out to the their service to indian cricket .. the entire cricketing countries the world over respect these four immensely, which makes us proud !
Thanks a lot guys ! hope you can carry on your exploits for couple of more years , till we are ready with replacements ( which seems an impossible task anyway !)
