UNWANTED STATEMENT
by P.S.BHALLA on Nov 30, 2006 12:31 PM

Sehwag should not give such a statement. He is failing as a opener and as such pressure is builting on other players. What is his contribution to the team? Pateince has a limit. We strongly request BCCI selector to remove Sehwag till world cup and strengthen the team with experienced players as said by Sehwag. What middle orer will do if top order fails?? Sehwag is spoiling the batting line up. We need a change in the top order.

Failure of Indian cricket team
by sukhbir on Nov 30, 2006 12:23 PM

The comment of Sehwag is very irresponsible one.Its true that they were already in pressure, but why then they either do not volunteer to take back seat or improve their performance?Whats the use of saying that so n so is not in form,n we give dravid support.Do they now want "baby sitting" practise too.Indian government is spending biggest amount on this sport with very less output these days.Experiments by Chappel proved nice only for few series. He is now doing "Over-experiments".For defeat all the 11 men in field n coach r equally responsible. We have not seen Mary Kom(Female 3 time world champion pugilist)or Dhanraj pillay or other sports personalities doing modelling n gaining(except few like rathore,Sania). Then why is every indian cricket player often seen in ad's.Are they playing for country or for attracting just modelling. Its grave shame that firstly we were unable to make it to ICC champions trophy n now the r just licking soil of SA.The "out of forms" shud volunteer to quit so that we may get pride n quality players not defeat n "glamour-oriented players".Coach shud also be immediately sacked. His experiments n outspoken nature is of no worth now.

India missed experienced players
by HRS Mani on Nov 30, 2006 12:18 PM

Except Sachin who was out for a beauty of a ball, all other batsmen were out for reckless shots and incompetency to bat. I blame Shewag and Dhoni for y/day's loss because both were out for reckless shots. Especially when it was a must win situation, they should have shown maturity. Shehwag is trying to justify his miserable performance for saying that the team was missing experienced players. Let him set his house in order first. Till then I think he should be dropped from the team.

C R Margabandhu
Dear Selector
by C R Margabandhu on Nov 30, 2006 12:18 PM

Shewag's response is too bad in taste as far as when he talk about Ind missed experienceed players.

How many experience players does he / Dravid / Greg require? Already you have Sehwag, Sachin, Khaif, Dravid, Kumble, etc etc.

If realy you all need realy good experience player - then why the hell selector has selected VVS and Saurav ince last one year.

What the hell Dravid is doing since last one year being as caption in respect of requirement of GOOD and experience team. Always he has been happy with current form of team alongwith Greg.

At first drop Dravid from Captaincy. Secondly drop Sehwag from Vice - Captain. Trow out Kaif and Raina from the team. Drop Sachin for one or two series as you all did with VVS, Saurav and Zaheer.

Reinstate Saurav as captain and make Yuvaraj or Kumble as vice captain. If you can't make Saurav as captain for the time being you have no choice other than making Sachin a caption.

Remove Greg and make Gavaskar or Anshuman or Kapil or Sandip Patil as coach. Or else bring back John Wright. If not make Imran Khan or Aasif Iqbal as Coach.

Sehwag's comments
by Arun on Nov 30, 2006 12:16 PM

It is really wise of Sehwag to remain silent about his own form. He's pretty sure that people do know how he has done in the past few matches. As a specialist opener in the Indian squa, he has become a liability to India. So are others like Sachin and Kaif. His pleading for some more time to come to terms with the foreign conditions would surprise anybody who has a faint knowledge of the game. After all, one day will decide the winner of the series. So let him be more straight forward to acknowledge that they have nothing left with them any more to show their fans.Still, let him saty assured that he can earn hefty sums from product endorsements. Shame on you, Viru! And Sachin, it's better you resign on your own. An unceremonious and disrespectful exit for you will take much of the sheen out of your legendary career.

Play for country not for self.Indian are sentimental and emotional since players are being treated like Icon,And players turned immediatly as a clebrity which effects their performance.Foreign players play for game not for self.We should also not expect any big with indian players considering their emotional factor. They must attend Yoga camp seriously to win over emmotional and ego factor.

Sehwag's statement on Sachin
by Santosh Narate on Nov 30, 2006 12:14 PM

I feel this statement is fine but the person who is talking doesn't have that much rights to speak about. He also should state about his own form. Now he is also quite experienced guy in the team. His experience also should be accounted and blamed as well. Look at the averages achieved by Sachin & him in last 10-15 matches.

disgusting team india
by ashok on Nov 30, 2006 12:01 PM  | Hide replies

its really sickening to hear that experienced players missed when all the first five batsman had enough of cricket experience/exposure.its high time the board shows the door to all the players who are not consistant/committed rather waste time and money on these players as they are proving bad to worst with each game.appreciate a team with very few experienced players like west indies do perform better and what s the need to talk about such aspects when its really funny to see everyone flops ......its not bad on the part of cricket fans to react as they feel ashamed of the team performance.if such is the case why drop ganguly,laxman,uthappa......etc ....thrwo thsi players out and let them go after ads make monye this is not the right place.....game cricket is under stake bcoz of this team................its soon going to follow like football....hockey where we stand nowhere in the international rankings....
