criticism by MP's - not required
by prasad on Nov 27, 2006 03:32 PM

Hi,
I am a ardent cricket lover, one looses & one wins and this has to be purely taken in true spirits, our Indians need support and encouragement at this stage,
our parliamentary leaders should not get involved in unnecessary criticism of cricket officials, there are lot many things that are pending , lot many promises given by them to people are to be fulfilled,
Come on.. they have bigger task to do rather than straining themselves unncessarily in cricket issues.

Ridiculous
by Ann on Nov 27, 2006 03:31 PM

While I understand that cricket is an emotional issue for most Indians, losing a match does not warrant the MPs jumping in. It's obvious that they see a method of gaining publicity and they're utilising it. Perhaps, if they put the same passion into essential tasks in the country such as removing poverty, focussing on education and building better infrastructure, India would be in a better position.

Cricket? Not an important issue at all for the nation...
by Suhas on Nov 27, 2006 03:30 PM

These are most stupid things going on in parliament, I think. The Team India does not represent as a national cricket team, it is a team selected by BCCI. And besides cricket and abhi-ash marriage and sanjay dutt verdict, there are a lot many subjects, which need immediate attention like farmers' suicides in most parts of the country, the SEZ controversy, the Kharilanji murders and atrocity.... When our MPs and the people in general come to their senses? Stop discussing cricket in Parliament. Cricket does not give us "roti." Young generation needs work, not cricket.

Hope you understand.

Thanks.

Chappell
by partha biswas on Nov 27, 2006 03:22 PM

I dont think Parliament should waste its time on this Kangaroo. It is better that they summon Kiran More and DEMAND an explanation from HIM as to why he did what he did as a chief selector, under whose aegis MOST of the Ganguly fiasco took place, including the unprecedented powers that Chappell started wieding.
Market rumor states that Kiran More has MORE to do with Chappell than meets the eye.The Players NOW
in the team and who have been left out for some reason or the other meet over dinner or something and just have a GOOD heart-to-heart talk, and let THEM decide the BEST of what can be done.In a professional set-up in Industry, this is a COMMON method of brain-storming, through which MIRACULOUS RESULTS have been achieved.Incidentally NO OUTSIDE consultants are THEN allowed to even say a word. If the board can,let them do this. Cheers India.

MP's can devote their energy for better purposes
by Karthik on Nov 27, 2006 02:55 PM

The MP's can devote their energy for better purposes . I hope they discuss more serious issues afflicting the indian common man .

The talk of passing a previlge motion on Chappel is uncalled for . The task of asessing the performance of the Indian cricket team and its coach ,should be left for the ' knowledgeable ' bearers in BCCI .

Chappal vs MP's
by john on Nov 27, 2006 02:51 PM

Our MP's don't they have any work in pariliment, why do they waste their time and country's money.

We must elect another set of STUPID MP's for discussing crickets/tennis/kabadi...and waste their time seperately.

WORLD WILL BE LAUGING AT US FOR DISCUSSING CRICKET IN PARLIMENT..SHAMELESS MP'S SHOULD SHUT THEIR MOUTHS AND DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR INDIA BY DISCUSSING BETTER/USEFUL THINGS.

To cover their failures it is good to divert the public...but indian public is not that stupid.

I would request Mr Chappel to through his chappal at out stupid jobless MP's

Indian cricket
by Pavan on Nov 27, 2006 02:49 PM

Indian Parliament cannot do better than these silly things. When the Mind (Se) Pagal (MPs) are themselves are quite lazy in discharging their duties, what rights they have to question Chappell? What Chappell can do when our great cricketers are not playing well after the match starts? I think all MPs should mind their business and concentrate on bigger things in life. Never forget, Cricket is just a sport and by stretching things this far, we are making fools of ourselves & our country.

No matter Mr. Chappel, you are welcome to insult us.
by Arup Bhattacharya on Nov 27, 2006 02:47 PM

It is our fault only. When Mr.Greg Chappel insulted Saurav Gangully (Ex Captain),the press including you also did not protest, people of India likes to belive outsiders rather than Indians,Mr. Chappel insulted Calcutta People( by showing finger),The whole nation noticed in T.V,no objection made,it was looking like W.B is not in India.Today he has insulted M.P's,tomorrow he will insult our Nation/Prime Minister. No matter, this is why we took three hundred years of getting Indipendance.Kiran More's are always there to stab behind.
