Chappel's faux pass
by Rituraj Kumar on Nov 27, 2006 01:53 PM

Greg Chappel seems to be digging his own grave. Instead of owning up the blame for the failure of the Indian Cricket team, he is giving all kinds of sarcastic comments.

Stung by the criticism that is coming from all quarters, he is reacting like an immature school boy. It's high time that he actually made a change in the fortunes of the Indian team or leave on his own. Otherwise, he will have to be forcibly kicked out of the Indian team.

Chappell,u r out!
by Sreenath upadhyaya on Nov 27, 2006 01:47 PM

Chappell is digging his own grave! By now, with so many issues,Greg should have understood of what to and what not to ,when he is talking to the Great Indian media! By criticizing the Indian MPs,He is digging his own grave, since the Indian Parliament is backed by Left MPs,who are baiting for Greg's head.Even the Speaker is pro Ganguly and this might result in Greg's head!

Do your job
by Julie on Nov 27, 2006 01:45 PM

Can all the parlimentariens do their job for the purpose they have been sent to parliament by voters? They have many things to do for their constituency. All the voters are waiting for the MPs to do the best for their town/city. Please all the MPs stay away from this sports issue. Show your patriotism in developing your constituency.

Grow up! Boys and girls like Renuka Chowdary!
by Naveen Kanchnath on Nov 27, 2006 01:45 PM

Ludicrous! Making a collective mockery of ourselves. Distinguish between a war and a sport! One may sack Greg for one hundred thousand reasons, but definitely not for this! A nations- that has over 5000 year civilization, a billion people, a thriving democracy (sic), an emerging power in the global arena- prestige and self respect are too huge in astronomical terms to be dented by loss of a game or two of cricket. What Greg said was a normal expression of English that MPs are supposed to earn their salaries by raising questions of public interest and while they go about their job let me go about mine; but it appears that the guilt conscience of our MPs-some, if not all- who demand money from public to raise selective questions (Greg could hardly be aware of this), seems to have been pricked! Asking the Chief Selector to take the first flight to SA in the middle of a tour is non-sense enough. Boys and girls in the Sansad Bhavan need to remind themselves of what Nehru said in his address to the first Asian games Play the game in the spirit of the game! Says it all! A nations prestige cant affected by losing or winning a game! Time to grow up for boys&girls like Renuka Chowdary!

chappel's commitment to the members of parlieament.
by sudip chatterjee on Nov 27, 2006 01:39 PM

I think why chappel's commitment to the member of parliament. who is he? who order to chappel this commitment? It is bad news of our country. I think it must be needed to return Australia quickly. I think he is a good cricketer but not a good man. He has not quality to coaching for the Indian cricket team. I think sourav ganguly in and greg chappel out. sourav ganguly is better that greg chappel in every sides.

Why should MPs worry about this?
by Ramesh Sistla on Nov 27, 2006 01:37 PM

The issue of MPs trying to move a privilege motion about Indian cricket coach shows them in very poor light and is proof enough that they are not concentrating on developmental work at all, which is why they have been elected in the first place.

How many of these jokers ask for even IOA president's head when India time and again either missed or gets a bronze at Olympics? How many of these worry about our debacle in our so called national game - hockey? If they can't worry about that, why should they worry about an indifferent season in Indian cricket?

This highlights their joblessness. I feel sick to even read this.

Why blame the coach alone.Let us admit ours is a overrated team.India never did well in south Africa for that matter in any place outside the Sub-Continent.How can we forget the Infamous "Summer of 42" when Ajit Wadekar' team collapsed for a mere 42 runs in a Test Match in England.

Money Matters
by Poornesh on Nov 27, 2006 01:35 PM

The MPs were worried about their money(Business) what they are getting from cricket thats it. Other than that nothing is there.
This is going to be more worst and worst if MPs start interfiering in CRICKET... Actually they dont now anything about the cricket. Even they dont now how balls will bebowled in a single over.....
