Ganguly not picked for 1st Test
by Vijay Bali on Feb 28, 2006 04:39 PM

I think it is a good decision of selection comaitee.
His poor fielding ,poor batting & his behaviour are only three factor to drop him from team.
He is not performing well since march 2004.Ganguly has destoryed our team.He never give chance to talented young player.
In absence of Ganguly Team is working well.
So we should welcome the decesion of selection comatee. He should drop from team earlier 2004

Ganguly.. is the man who brought Indian cricket to where it is.. despite of his efforts and records.. now he is going through worst days of life.. its really shameful that we don't respect our heros.. if Ganguly quits.. then it will be the biggest loss for so called Team India.. Shame on the selectors and Mr. Greg Chappel

Ganguly Not Considered
by Vimal Upadhyay on Feb 25, 2006 03:19 PM

It happens only in India .Whether its aports or politics or any other subject. Now the time has to come for Ganguly to decide whats up for him in near future. If a team captain ,coach, selectors are not interested in taking a person who has good record,so its time to say quit.everybody knows who the selectors are and what their records are.And top of it ,cricket is run by those people who never had played any game in cricket. These buffons buisnessman or politicians will decide about the indian cricket. It shameful and ridiculous.

Great Disrespect
by Vinod Jayendra on Feb 25, 2006 09:21 AM

This is a great disrespect to former indian captain. Of Course youngsters are playing well , but that does not mean throw out a former captain in such absurd manner.

It's a sad day
by Swagat on Feb 25, 2006 12:51 AM

It's a viscious propaganda against the best captain India has produced. It's a shame for India to see a foreign coach dictate the fate of one of the greatest cricketers in Indian cricket history. And it's a greater shame fore those who are abiding and proliferating this bias. I wish Ganguly all the best for whatever he decides, but my heart still wants to see those musical caresses through the off-side.

Cannot believe

The selectors' picks do not make any sense. They talk about getting young blood but how many "young" people do you want in the team. You cannot just expose a young player to the rigors of professional cricket too soon. Youngsters like Piyush and VRV Singh do not deserve a test place call just because they did good in the U-19 W' cup. These talented youngsters should be groomed properly, give them time to mature and the opportunity at the right time. If these youngsters do not do well in the first few games, firstly, it will form an intimidating scar in their mind at a young age and secondly, our stupid selectors will put a stamp of "bad player" and push him into the background. Balaji, Murali Kartik and most recently Gambhir are prime examples.
Its good we currently have so much talent but they should be used wisely. I think there is definitely place for ganguly as one of 3 senior members in the team. It is when things go bad (which wil occasionally) that their experience will be necessary. Also, Zaheer & Gambhir need to be back too. All the new comers should plan their entry to international arena wisely or very soon they will bite the dust like many players in the past

non inclusion of ganguly
by mr.sheshadri on Feb 24, 2006 07:43 PM

dear readers.
for some it could be surprising and for some it could be known that ganguly could not find a place in the team for the 1st test match against england.
in my opinion it was a 50-50 decision.i feel that ganguly has a couple of years in international cricket but at the same time i feel that he is becoming a sort of liability to the team.anyway my best wishes to the team for the future.

Ganguly's non-inclusion in the 1st Test Team

It seems that dark days of Indian cricket is looming ahead. With Mr. Chappel and his most obidient Servent Kiran More not including Sourav Ganguly in the Team for some personal reasons I think the day is not far when our entire Cricket Infrastructure is going to collapse.
Though Mr Ganguly scored only 37 and 39 runs in the third test against Pakistan his Temperament and efforts were praised by everyone else than Mr. Chappel and his most obidient Servent.
