Murali Kartik's bowling economy will only be comparable to Dinesh Mongia's. That too when Mongia bowls a bad spell.
On top of it Mongia is a pure batsman who can bat at any position.
So why is Kiran MOre persecuting Mongia who had such a tremendous season for Leicestershire and has scored 4 huge hundreds in Ranji Trophy this season.
Infact, compared to JP Yadav, Venugopal Rao, Suresh Raina, Kartik and Gambhir, any day Dinesh Mongia is a preferable option. He can be considered someone like Andrew Symonds and included in team for doing demolition job and bowl a few tight overs.

Are u crazy? Hoping Dinesh Monig would be an Andrew Symonds?? Symonds might commit suicide if he reads this!! Dinesh Mongia himself may be laughing his head off on reading ur statement. U have a point that Dinesh Mongia should be considered for the team, atleast ahead of guys like J. P. Yadav (of course ur claim that he must be picked ahead of Suresh Raina is debatable though). But if u r hoing that he will do an "Andrew Symonds" then u are living in dream land!! Now a days county cricket is no better than Ranji trophy except that batsman may have more challenging conditions but with no quality bowler to exploit it, it doesnt matter much. Of course, the way Kaif has been playing against Pak, DM can be considered instead of him if u really want him back in the team... but surely dont hope that he will be Symonds or Flintoff or Pietersen

Hi Everyone, This is really sad that Indian Cricket is going thru such a rough time. But its even sadder that ppl are making a mockery of all this by indulging in regionalism. Its good that Sachin has scored some runs finally, but this is not gonna take him anywhere, he has to do it consistently to make an impact on the masses again. As far as I know, he definitely has lost popularity and Saurav has gained some sympathy. But we dont need all this. We only need players who can perform in the middle and take Team India on a right track. Just imagine, with such a huge infrastructure and such breed of players, we havent won a World Cup since 1983. Its been 23 yrs and 5 World Cups have passed since then. When we won the Coveted trophy in 1983, we were underdogs and we came out strongly to win it. In 1992 v played well but New Zealand and Pakistan were at its peak and Inzamam was superb in that series, he is superb even now. Then came 1996, we did well to reach Semi-Final but again we lost the plot and Aravinda De'Silva's brilliance made us bite the dust. In 1999, we again played really well but crucial loss to Zimbabwe saw us out of the race. So, buck up team India, v know u can do it.

Mr Mandar,obviously you could be pardoned for your sin of demanding Ganguly to play kindergarten cricket ; Anyway look into the record books and you would find that Saurav as a batsman can anyday purchase and sell your beloved Dravid and Sachin ,if winning matches for INDIA is your parameter ; I do not feel motivated enough to provide the stats of Ganguly as a Captain of Team India ;However you could make [alongwith Sachin , Dravid] a very bright career in Kolkata ,thanks to your knowledge [outstanding] about cricket , you and your gang could surely get the job for "support staff" you know-cleaners of clothes,water bearers,luggage bearers ,shit removers in the various Creches down here ;As for your favourite coach Greg ,ask him to keep his bags ready , I have a feel that he is going to need them to be absolutely ready as after the Pak tour which India is scheduled to lose 4-1 ;and then the England tour - which is again designed to be a disaster he will have to be very swift across the Indian territory; Anyway here's wishing poor and frustrated souls like Mr Mandar all the luck and knowledge needed to survive the daily lickings he must be getting for such comments;
Am Highly impressed by More's comments on verious issue.Absolute clarity in views.One should salute him for handling the pressure in last couple of months.
Why should he be left alone. He is also a cricketer representing India. There cannot be two ways to judge a player, nor two yard stick to judge. This century is surely not the best of Sachin, and when we required the most valuable knock from him he failed.
Mr. More supports his bowlers and why not he is the selector. Agarkar has failed again and on what grounds does he say he performed well, may be Mr. More judges him with his own performance yard stick. Mr. More was surely not the best of keepers . Pressure? why should he be bothering of this, he has Greg to do the thinking and he being a just an ordinary cricketer loves this man who talks big and does not deliver at all.Mr. More does not have the gutts to tell Greg anything. From this interview we know how hollow this selection committee is. God help the Indian team.
Kiran More was himself a below average player, who hardly contributed in India's wins. He should be thank ful to god as he is heading selection commitee of indian cricket . And indian cricket is not getting any better. if he is satisfied with indian bowling, then how would he rate pakistan and australia bowling? Indian bowlers can't defend even 328, and he is satisfied.
Rather than befooling people he should have realistic approach towards the status of indian cricket.

Mr Mandar, You appear to be a person more intersted in regionalism than cricket. Please go back to your parents and ask them to educate you about good manners while participating in forums.

Mr kaushik you seems to be bengali. Pass on my following advice to Sourav.
Sourave should start playing school cricket , there he might score some runs (hopefully).He should play with right hand , may score one or two maximum.And if he can't do this send him to play with the kids from kindergarden.

Y bring in this maharashtrian and stuff? Kiran more is from baroda and irrespective of how he is doing, dont segregate people by states. WE ARE INDIANS FIRST. Only then we are Bengalis, Marathas, etc etc

your comment is very disgusting?? taken into view that you live in country where each individual belong to certain states and if you are not that part does mean you have right to cirtize them for begin in that post or say that guy favour just becoz he belong that part of state and Mr Kiran More is from gujrat not belong to Mumbai.
hi, i am anil. i agree with kirans. just leave sachin alone, he has proved the critics wrong by making a century in the first onedayer.but we should have a look at our bowling department and question ourselves ----------whether the present set of bowlers can win us world cup by backing our batsmen on westindies pitches which are now-a-days quite similar to sub continent pitches , which are dead batting tracks.may be we should be critical.
