happy to see ganguly back
by Raj on Aug 21, 2006 12:10 PM

we are all happy to see the greatest performer for india back, i think he deserves definately a solid postion in india, without ganguly and tendulkar dont imagine to out perform in the world cup, they are number one and two ever, so dont challenge them, they have got lot match winning knocks under there belt, underperformers please stop commenting on the cricket greats sachin and saurav, india was never in this postion i.e 2 before its only because of sachin and saurav. go back and read the cricket history you will realize. encourage our great players and lets hope good performance for the world cup. Good Luck For Saurav Ganguly, dada we are looking forward for your performance, our best wishes are with you.

gangulys i9nclusion
by ralph daniel gomes on Aug 20, 2006 05:02 PM

after all that ganguly has done for india he shouldnt be ignored . agreed that he indulged in a lot of politics , vengenance and nepotism while he was the cap . however we should not forget that he has led india to many victories and he has been punished enough for his misdeeds . he is too good a player to be left out nad he will add that much more aggression to the team

ganguly's inclusion
by sudhakar on Aug 20, 2006 04:33 PM

what manjrekar saying is absolutely correct.'cause ganguly is really struggling with his bat and ball that we have seen in the county matches.he is also lageed mentally too.there is no doubt in his records.but that are past.selection commitee should go with the present situation and select the team with present performers.

Ganguly's inclusion within 30 members
by P K Jena on Aug 20, 2006 03:32 PM

I don't think ganguly will able to get chance to play within 11 members. So I feel ganguly should resign from the international criket. It will be better for him otherwise he will face the situation like Pakistan. He will again be offended by himself.

Saurav Ganguly's drop and coming Back.
by GURUBHEEMA JOIS on Aug 20, 2006 01:53 PM

It was bold decision intitially to drop him and now its a poor move once again to deny chance to an youngstar. Agreed that he played beautifully, but with his experience he must have made his deeds on the cricket field talk more than his supporters or himself ( if he has spoken ) to stake his claim for berth in Indian Cricket. Having said that I salute Greg Chappel to have given all old crickets run for their money and given hopes for so many young crickets especially on the eve of Next World Cup in the very country against whom we had won the cup in 1983.

Ganguly's Inclusion
by Ramesh Talwar on Aug 20, 2006 12:02 PM

Manjrekar or Kiran More or J Srinath have no credentials to evaluate Ganguly. Only Gavaskar, Sidhu or Ajit Wadekar can comment on his inclusion.

Manjrekar/More/Srinath have either performed poorly or not in the capacity as batsman. They are so called experts because of their command in English rather than Cricket

ganguly's inclusion a political move
by abhay ekbote on Aug 20, 2006 10:11 AM

Dear sir
Gangulay's inclusion is not a political move. If he is notbeing taken for poor form then how do you justify his inclusion. he is not completely fit.
Ganguly is not being considered only due to the combo of chappel and More supported by the captain. One should not forget ganguly's the man who got the team together. Dravid is good as a played but lacks fighiting spirit. He is not aggressive. to beat everyone in 2007 you need a captain like ganguly and not a cool cat like dravid. he does not inspire the team while ganguly does.
lets also agree that tendulkar is now in his down stage.

by vishal yadav on Aug 20, 2006 07:09 AM

hi
everyone is saying that his name in the probables is a political move but nobody is even thinking that his removal was also a political move even after hitting a century in zimbabwe and in domestic cricket after that he was kept out of the team india.
i reqquest all the people to see both the sides for sourav ganguly and then speak
thankyou
