Although ganguly was a great player but his current form is not upto the mark what we expected. but still he can be included in case if he performs well in domestic or county crickets.
look a international player with 15000 runs under his belt and for some times he cannot stand in the wicket for making just merely 10 runs. Such players should be given CVR (COMPULSRY VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT) from Cricket. Many people speak that many matches have been won by ganguly; here that quote comes right 'Soilders fight the battle and Generals take the Credit'. Look if he had known about his loop holes and negative side, as a player of his calibre he should have corrected it. If you take Sachin Tendulkar, he doesnot bat as he does in his previous days, but still his name keeps the opposition dressing room in a state of worry and when sachin is in the field, fielding or bowling ; the opposition teams doesnot take chances. Saurav is no dobut the worst fielders in todays cricket, he has neither improved his fielding abilities, nor improved his batting techniques.

hi dear! don't match ganguly with guys like sachin,dravid,gavaskar,srikanth,manjrekar,srinath,...etc., these guys played and playing for records! but not ganguly like that! he is like- the "KING KAPIL DEV( WHO IS LORD FOR GODS)"! u just match ganguly with kapil dev, vivian richards, richard hadlee, ian botham ...etc., these guys played for their country with their heart/soul/attention! even ganguly also played like them. he never played slowly when he was in 90's(reaching to hundred). even in last world cup semi finals - india were chasing kenyan's total! at that time gantuly was playing on 94 and he reached his century with huge six! never had done by old criketers like i mentioned before and never has done by even sachin, dravid and they never will do like that! pls trust me my dear
Even if India performs well,cricket looks dull in the field without Saurav.His personality and emotions in the field attracts millions of cricket lovers.Let him come come back,perform and go like a hero.

Ok we agree ganguly has made 10000+ runs in ODI we will keep him in team, also SUNIL GAVASKAR in TEST team becuase he aalso has 10000+ runs under his belt. also we will call back kapil in TESTS because he has taken 434 wickets.
Javagal Sreenath is a veteran cricketer as well as now he is a match refree also. It does not sound good if he is commenting on a player like Ganguly. Even he should question with the authorities that why such a great player has been taken off the field. If Ganguly is a slow mover how he has made fastest 10000 runs in One dayers. Ganguly is a player who has the best record after Sachin. And still a lot of cricket has been left in Ganguly.
So my advice to Sreenath not to pass such comments on any cricketer when you have become a match referee. As I don't value for the comments of Sanjay Manjerekar. He has been an average player, Lower than average commentator and worst critic.
Whatever happens to Ganguly, questions are raised - if he is dropped, if he is included, if plays, if he doesn't, if he plays well, if he fails, if he speaks, if he keeps mum !!!
Guys take a break and do something better than going around Ganguly in circles ...
If there is a talk on contraversial matters like ganguly inclusion or exclusion in team. It goes on and on and never ends. One solution to this problem is give unique ranking to all criketers across india, the cricketers may be International players, team A,B,mumbai team, bengal team,... all ranji players of all indian states like karnataka,gujrat,assam,bihar and railways ..etc. The formulae for computing ranks must be taken from icc or should be similar to that of icc. For example,a player get maximum more points when played against teams like australia,mumbai and less points against bangladesh,orrisa. So, all cricketers whether he is international player or ranji player or railways will be on same plain of ground getting performance based points and ranking. If this is adopted the players will get rank based on current performance rather than past heroic feats. Even selection becomes fair, politics free, reliable and undebatable.The BCCI may not agree for ranking. Then private rankings like maruti suzuki cricket rating can be handy to judge a cricketers caliber.
it's good to see ganguly among 30 probable for champions trophy.Indian team need his experience, he should be included in final list of champions trophy and also in world cup team and after that it's upon him, how he manage himself to keep his position.
