chapal ganguly spat

Though Ganguly has done a good job as a captain but nobody is above the game. If he can not adhere to the gruelling schedule of modern cricket it is time he should quit gracefully. The efforts of Chappel and his intentions in building a perfect team for coming world cup is welcome.

disgusting article
by Ishaani on Sep 19, 2005 11:04 AM

Cant u journalists stop writing such malicious and insulting articles against our indian captain? U all r behaving as if he has commited some murder or something that the entire press is against him and are also trying to infuence the entire nation. But sorry to say, we still love Sourav and are 100 percent with him and stand by him in his hour of need.
We wont allow any australian or any outsider to come and insult our indian captain. It's because of u such people that foriegners come into our country and rule us, coz we only dont stand united against them. You all are responsible for this state of indian team, not Sourav Ganguly.
You only ask him questions, and if he answers them, then go a head and critisize him and bring him down to pieces.SHAME ON U ALL.
U PRESS PEOPLE DISGUST US.

Chappel - Ganguli Issue
by pranay kumar on Sep 19, 2005 10:52 AM

It has been seen for the last few days that Ganguli somehow failed to cope up with our new dassing coach who mind it was the master class cricketeer during 70's and 80's. Instead of following his footstep ganguli is telling his own past record which is baseless. What he has done in the past is a past and for that he has got so many compliments but the fact is presently he is zero irrespective of what he has done in the past.

In fact if BCCI has appointed Chappel as a Team India coach(After conducting 3 more interviews)than it is the duty and discipline of Team India that they should pay full attention to the coach. No matter whether he is the captain or vice captain of Indian Team.

If Chappel thinks he should step down from captaincy that he should be, as he is not doing any thing for cricket(Please do not discuss about performance against team like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe or Kenya or even West Indies also)

Strange ......

How can Chappel identify the 18 people he thinks would serve the Country? The last time I checked he was only the coach not the chief selector.

This article is good and shows another side of the coin. I feel chappell is doing a great job for the Indian Team. Sourav Ganguly must step down as a captain as he is not doing well for the Team India. Chappel has certain ideas for the Team and let him have the chance to prove it till the next world cup.

Stop spreading rumors

We do not trust any of those "inside information" from "Reliable source".
Stop spreading rumors. This would do no good to Indian cricket.

Ganguly should QUIT.
by Madhu Das on Sep 19, 2005 10:04 AM

Ganguly, by his deeds do not deserve to hold the position of Captain on Indian team anymore.

Chappel on his on right would have given Ganguly grace on advicing him to relinquish the post. No individual is above the interest of the team and the Country.

No captain can survive on past glories. Ganguly survives his captaincy not because of his perfomance, but because of the relationship with the selectors and BCCI heads.

What criteria are the selectors waiting for the captain to make, to remove him. Let Kiran More tell us why nobody in the team is worthiful of Captaincy, compared to Ganguly.

Ganguly cannot take comfort in a 266 ball century he made against Zimbabwe. Even an Ashraful of the Bangladesh team can do it.

If 5 members of the team find the coach contributing immensely within his 2 months on the job...than he certainly is a great coach.

Ganguly...u might be a Maharaja in Kolkatta, but if all Indian fans need to have the same feeling, you better perform, or otherwise perish. All your so called distractors accep the fact that you had taken Indian Cricket to great heights, but thats was long back. We are nowhere in World Cricket now. So QUIT as CAPTAIN.

Disgraceful reporting
by N. G.Thakurta on Sep 19, 2005 09:29 AM

Rediff journalism is becoming more and more deplorable each day. Can you stop this - for the good of our Indian Cricket. Why r you people so crazy to let down such a marvellous character of Indian Cricket, whose presence itself adds flair to the side (atleast it looks so from outside) than any ones presence in the team (even Tendulkar)...God knows why you people and a lot many are behind this man ...really disgraceful!!!
