Bad Performance of ganguly
by siddharth on Sep 16, 2005 10:06 AM

inspite of repeatedly giving bad performance the ever so shameless ganguly refuses to step down as the captain of indian team. he havent been able to perform and his century against zimbawe came out of deperation. a very slow and logic defying inning of ganguly was very slow... which slowed the C.R.R. down. and it cannot be counted as a great test inning as it came against a very pity side zimbawe.

ganguly must and shud be thrown out on indian crcket team. he is not a team person and his biased approach towards some players comes out time and again.

not only this off the field also he is not positive and is one of the greatest cause for india loosing there test matches due to instability of the middle order.

Clever idiot

Ganguly knows very well that he could rally public opinion in India against a foreign coach on being asked to step down. How dare a "foreigner" tell us how to run our business. Its entirely another matter that he was hired for the team's success and not for any inividual.

Regardless of whether India wins the Bulawayo test, it was pretty evident that Ganguly was playing for himself rather than the team.

This is not leadership material.

ganguly..dont try and gain sympathy..I hope its over for you..and I commend the coach to have asked you to step down..hope Indian cricket gets rid of you and all those who take their place in the side for granted...you are a perfect example..the mantra u guys have is perform when your place in the side is under threat and then relax when its cemented..its a game that u and the selectors play with cricket fans in the country...yeah the fans..they are the victims of this cricket politics...you guys should be sued for wasting National money and time!...India cricket would be saved if u, sachin etc. run ur restraunts full time.

What a ridiculous comment!

What do you mean by leaving ganguly aside. It's like saying that, leave kashmir aside we have to concentrate on India.

lol...

Hay, Dear we all appreciate Ganguly's past records, we agree that he was the best in his time thats why we were calling him TIGER.But now the tiger is getting tired yaar. How long we should stand besides him. Checking the performance of others and Ganguly are different things,Captain's performance can affect the team morale. Its a normal tendency, people like to follow a winner (Scoring a century with a poor team like Zimbabwe is not enough) and after all we should not think for an individual, but for the Indian cricket. What's wrong every great player's carrier comes to an end, at certain stage,it has come this time for DADA, nothing new. For the game to be much better we must forget DADA now & shall think of new guys like Kaif. We must aim at next world cup now.

No performance - > no captainship , that should be the message.

I support Greg Chappell.

Well, well,.. Shame on you guys. Every body is up against Sourav for his poor performances. But plz. check the performance of every players (except one or two) at the same time from the time when he is not in form. You people know only to criticise, you people never be found to get beside another person who is in problem.
Criticising some body does n't solve problems - make it more worst dear.

Shut Up Ganguly
by SAM on Sep 16, 2005 08:37 AM

Chapell was right in asking you to step down, just take a year off and come back as a better batsman or don't come back at all.

This guy has this much atitude since he scored a century against Zimbabwe! Hes talking as if hes scored a century against Australia!

Let me also say Dravid is not the right captain for india. India performs the exact same way under him. Someone younger should be given the captaincy, so we can get a fresh start. Clearly, team "INDIA" is divided into TEAM GANGULY and TEAM DRAVID. Lets not give either of them captaincy. Have a younger neutral captain. like kaif, sehwag, even pathan? if other teams can try young captains, why can't we? kaif stands out the most of them three as hes got a impressive track record as captain in domestic competitions.

we need a fresh start! it starts with a new captain and new coach. well, we already have the new coach thing down, so a new captain is what we need. lets pick a team based on current form not prior efforts. Australia does it and they have been successful! we should be able to do the same!

Ganguly was asked to step down
by R. N. Bose on Sep 16, 2005 08:22 AM

Frankly, he should step down at the end of this test series. He as nothing more to prove, had a long stint, seems jaded and bereft of ideas (he did not know why his team lost against New Zealand in the tri-series), drive and energy.

If he is banking on (past) statistics and not on his recent form to justify his (present) inclusion, then by the same token why not inlcude Gavaskar or Ravi Shastri in the present Indian team!

There is no reason for him to drag on and on as captain. Let him spend all his time on commercials. If he leaves now, would people say "why did he..?" rather than "why not?"

after scoring 100
by Sivakumar on Sep 16, 2005 07:19 AM

After scoring 100 runs with world poor rated cricket team Ganguly talking too much about his achievement. If he is dare enough let him score 100 runs with England or Australia team and comment about Greg Chappell. Ganguly existence is sin to India cricket team. We lost 30 years record at Home ground with Australia cricket team. He didn't placed effort to retain that record.

He better can go to University to learn how to be respectful to his superior. Lame donkey roaring after scoring 100 runs against poor opponent.

Ashame of GANGULY

As an experianced player do he really deserve to state all these type of comments...? I think he may fit in politics rather than as a cricket capitan.
