he is not at all fit as a captain..... he is trying to kepp his captain side safe from losing....such criceters r not ablem to lead india..... ganguly the royal bengal tiger is one and only solution to lead team india definitely.......
People talk about Saurav having a good team... Saurav made his team good... he brought the best out of his average players (like the way Imran transformed Inzy into World\'s Best). What did Saurav had in the beginning?? An aging Kumble, an old Srinath, a Prodigy in Sachin who had never scored in a Tension match but was scoring centuries only against Kenya s and Bangladesh? Where did he have the spin trio of Azhar or fast bowlers like Clive Lloyd? However he made the team World beaters. He groomed players like Harbhajan, Kaif, Yuvraj, Zaheer, Pathan etc. Mind you, none of these players ae from East and people tell him of doing factionalism. And the young boys do owe it to him.. who can forget Bhajji who after stopping Australia\'s dream run in Kolkata dedicated his performance to his parents and His Captain?
More than that, Saurav\'s Team was the only Indian Team in Cricket History which was not suffering from Intra Team Politics. He respected all the seniors (Sehwag, Sachin, Dravid) and these players also brought the best out for him. It was Team Spirit at it\'s best... He transformed the Indian team to Team India.
Saurav batting average is slightly worse as a captain, so is Dravid's. All players loose some efficiency as a batsman when they become captain in general. However Saurav's batting average during captaincy is same as Dravid's batting average as a player. In general, Saurav's batting average in one-dayers is better than Dravid's. Change may be in the tests, but for shorter version of the game, where flexible, bold and quick and subtle decisions are needed, Saurav is certainly a better choice. He is after all the most match winner for India. The problem is not with either of the two players. It is with Greg Chappell. He will do more harm to Indian cricket than good. Already he tries too many things by experiment, removing the players by pressure who don't suit him, like Ganguly and many others, and plays politics by saying Sachin is in 'good' form after scoring 39 runs in the three matches, whereas no coments for Saurav Ganguly's recently scored century against the North Zone, in a grassy wicket in addition to his all-round performance. It is evident he wants to cut-off Ganguly from his team however well he performs, in order that only players conducive to him can stay.
I think dravid as a captain is a good choice. The reason is the bad form of sourav ganguly. Actually from now onwards, I thnik there should be some rule for each and every player of indian cricket team.
If they fail to perform in a consecutive fashion, then they are eligible to throw out of the national team irrespective of how big players they are on paper ! If everything is being done according to aussie rules, then we should follow each and every step of them. They sacked mark waugh, steve waugh and other in form players for the sake of newcomers who were performing better than these big superstars.
So, if now dravid or even sachin get fail, then simply throw them out because we should not think about the individuals, rather we should think about our team and our country. I know, lots of cricket fan would be disagree with me, but it should be the way to success.
Dravid is not fit to captain India...he is not flexible and cannot take bold and agressive decisions on field...Sourav has to be back to lead the team through the worldcup of 2007...Sourav come all guns blazing and take Team India forward.
I am really sorry to see Mr. Kinshuk take sides. No one should take sides. The prospect of India winning should be the first and foremost factor. Ganguly did the right thing by declaring the innings since they really shouldn't afford to loose any more time at that time. And if tendulkar really wanted the century he should have tried to score some quick runs at that time instead of playing defensively.
Rahul Dravid is a very good batsman. But he is not a aggressive captain.I think after Sourav Ganguly,Virender Sehwag is the right person to handle the positin.
Dont think so.Its like a lamb replacing the lion in the cricket jungle.Dravis is so devoid of passion, his batting can be a cure for insomnia.what with all this sledging, he is too nice a person to be in the forefront.we need someone, who is looked upto by rEst of the team.-who is the right choice at present? wait for the ODI series & duleep trophy!!!!
