Chappell will not mess around
by Debasis Banerjee on Nov 23, 2005 11:33 AM

Greg may be a great cricket-coach . As Azzharuddin was a great captain . But we should not tolarate any kind of activity which goes against our
pride . Like azzhar was did and punished .
Mr.Greg has done something equivalant . He is one of them who trying to finish the carrer of India's greatest captain . Only to have the unparallal domonence over the team .
I think people of India should not forget Sourav . We should remind that It's him who has made the team India .Sewag ,Yuvraj ,Kaif,Balaji,Pathan,Harbhajan all got several chance to proove @ establish themselvs only for his strong recomendation & support .

Rusi Surti
by arun visvanathan on Nov 13, 2005 12:33 AM

Ten years ago I was in Trinidad and took a lift from a young man named "Surti". When I told him that we had a former test star named Rusi Surti he was extremely pleased. His father was a great admire of Rusi Surti and named his son after him.

Discipline is very important when people represent their country. See and look at Shoib Aktar, how irresponsible he behaves, ganguly also behaved in the same way. He can enjoy, earn, live like king, princess but he can not disrespect the ideologies kept for him to work

What do you mean Indian cricket is going through bad phase. In that sense I dont remember a good phase other than 1983-1985. Which world Cup were we ever top contenders for? We lost to Australia badly in 2003 remember and then all media blasted the team.

These guys are beating SL a top team in subcontinent conditions with all young guns performing. Man what else do you guys need to indicate good performance.

This is a team for the future, and don dismiss them until they go to foreign tours. Also note all foreign countries have gotten better in subcontinent conditions. So winning at home is not as easy as it used to be in the old times.

I guess most people who post dont understand cricket and have never played leather ball cricket, and dats why talk bs.

Chappel is right

What ever Chappell doing is better for Indian cricket. There is no question that Ganguly is one among the all time best oneday batsmen. But it's high time he should take a break. It will be a blessing in disguice for him too. More over we can't deny Dravid what he deserves who is the main contributor for all victories under Ganguly.

good article
by Dhaval Bathia on Nov 09, 2005 11:40 AM

I liked the way in which the reporter has presented the article. The opening lines made me felt as if I was reading a murder mystery......

Good job......keep it up.

Surti's Comment
by Nishant on Nov 09, 2005 11:03 AM

The time when he played his cricket players from only some part of India are picked for the side.
Teams are decided by some big names - there was politics since then.
Currently earning his bread in Australia - he tries to make them happy with his comment.
This is not a childs play in which you can say -Hmmmm I don't take him in my team because I don't like him. I will rather pick an injured player who is not fit to play.
So, he (Greg) is messing around.

So my advise him to that before making any comment just forget about your personal interest and pls try to be an Indian rather than a regional man.

Team comes first

There is a Saying, if the country will benefit, no harm in sacrificing a province, if a province is going to be benefitted, no harm in sacrificing a village, if a village is going to be benefitted, no harm in sacrificing an individual.

Ganguly is just an individual. If the team is going to show result with out him, no harm in keeping him outside.

How much ever he may be big for his fans, he indulged in silly mudslinging JUST to save his cap. He will not be good for the team any more.

He might have been great in the past. Winston churchill was good during wars and people praised. Same people sent him home after the wars. We Indians onle have the psychological hang-ups of the past.

Try to see things objectively. This is an excellent article on that aspect.
