change of rules
by ramesh on Jun 28, 2005 02:55 PM

the newly introduced rules will spoil the nature of the game.cricket is a game which should be played and watched with interest.but the new rules puts confusion on to the captains and on to the players.

It will make game more interesting
by Bipin on Jun 28, 2005 02:47 PM

This changes will make the game more interesting. 20 overs field restriction will help in scoring. It'll be like more value for audience money

Definitely work....

New Rules and changes always welcome for cricket. We want to see the team performance. We are living for our country. Cricket should not be dependent on star players. Rules Always come up for all the players in Team. While watching Foot ball i used to enjoy. Because Always It is team performance. I feel it will work out for Our country.

Thanks
Girisankar

Changing Cricket
by Prerana on Jun 28, 2005 02:44 PM

The changes look positive and gives more levy to the captain on the field. It will also give a lot to speak to the commentator.

Breaking of over into 3 slabs will help players depend less on the pitch and play to their strength.

Addition of the 12th player also looks okay. It will certainly help the 12th man sitting out to look forward to.

More interesting
by Ashish on Jun 28, 2005 02:40 PM

At last ICC is making some efforts from letting One day Cricket become monotonous and uninteresting. the soccer like rules and changed field restrictions will only make captains and teams strategise more and thus make it more intersting.

Waiting to see a more enthralling Cricket.

New ICC rules for ODI's
by Brig.S.N. IYER on Jun 28, 2005 02:34 PM

The changes now being introduced will not only enliven the game but also challenge the capability of the Team Captain, who can not just mechanically implement a set plan.
Since time will be spent on revising the plan a 10 minute break should be given during the middle of each innings. If the break is not given Captains like Ganguly may be banned for long durations for exceeding the allotted time.
