Arvind got it all wrong as usual.

It's not that we don't a have test class keeper. You do have someone like Dinesh Karthik or even Ajay Ratra. Gangauly does not want any of them.

You do have a good opening batsman in S Ramesh. He was not dropped from the team. He was sidelined because of injury and we are completely ignoring him. It's because Ganguly wishes to continue with Yuvraj.

This time the Australians won not because their bowlers bowled exceptionally well but because none of our batsman has been in form since our return from Pak.Our bowlers are in great form and the fact that the AUS batsman, particularly, Martyn and Clarke, played extremely well needs to be appreciated.

To add to this all, we prepared a 'sporting' pitch which suited the damn Australians well! A good batsman should be able to adapt to any pitch. That being the case, why don't we prepare spinner friendly piches and test the skills of the so called great Austrlian batsman? In fact, a really skilled batsman like Martyn did play well in Madras!

When we visit AUS, they don't prepare a spinner friendly wicket, thinking it is sportive do so. Hope some day soneone has common sense!

I wish to add the mental frame of mind to what is said in this coloum. Our minds are alrady blocked about the pitch "prepared to suit opponents".

Team selection

Tendulkar ,let him take rest, play some domestic matches and can play international afterwards. The same is the case for ganguli, lakshman, dravid etc. Let the players with current form be chosen to get the current result. They are playing for a nation not to get some practise .Even kumble, harbajan, karthik should be rested and try new efficient bowlers,we have to think of future.Sriram can be cosidered ,he can play for 3 or 4 years, even if he is 27 does not matter, are we not considering ganguli, tendulkar, dravid, lakshman, kumble who are all older than sriram. and they all want to play till the next worldcup. If they have aspiration likethat sriram can also be considered. Anyway the present team most of them can be replaced by talented players, how long they have to wait for their turn?Let them also share some fame and financial benefits.

one of the reasons...

well there is no denying that we played very badly.. but i guess that was the script. same batsmen who played so well in australia, just could not get going.
my point is there are lots of things that determines the course of a series. Had we won the toss in bangalore or chennai..i bet the story would have been very different.
one good bad session and good session sets the tone. anyway they had the luck and they made the most of it.

Mr Rajan i agree with you, India should start
promoting football, hockey and some other games
which is international which is played by all the
countries.
Sir Sunil Dutt please promote other games, we are
sick and tired with this cricket.
BCCI is paying money more than what they deserve, so
i say stop it, does'nt matter whose money it is...

Lack of competition and determination
by M.J.NARENDER on Oct 30, 2004 08:44 PM

Well.. the indians are lounging in their dressing
room while every australian fights for his place;
imagine Brett Lee sitting out for three test matches.
With India we see every fielder smiling after they
drop a catch..the exception being parhiv who frowns
so he can drop another.. or with the batsmen who
wear that million dollar smile after they are back
in the pavillion.
May be we should stop these free lunches to
save India's image.

Indian batting

This is not only the indians played very bad cricket but also the Aussies played cricket of very high quality.

But not to worry, surely the INDIANS will come back in the Mumbai. We all are waiting the big innings from RAHUL, SACHIN & VVS. They came back in the past and surely they will come back also this time.

Girish,

why do you have confideance in these guy? while they
themself don't have confideance in them...

the selectors should fire R dravid, WS laxman and
Sachin tendulkar or else somebody as to fire the
selectors to have a good team selected.

if this time again the team looses then they should
be beatan up in bombay.....
