Moment Of Truth
by Siva on Oct 29, 2004 09:26 AM

Yes, This is not only the moment of truth for the Indian Cricket but for the fans as well. The amount of celebrity status the Team gets is undeserving and they all proved that they are mortals. They are all gutless when it comes to crunch (take out Kolkatta 2001 and Adelaid 2003). Its easy to talk , but to walk the talk is the hardest thing. Nothing can be achived by just talking and not putting your heads to it. Aussies done the homework and luck favours the better ones. Indians played with negative mind and faced so many negative decisions against them.
Sourav and boys go back to basics... all is not lost. Final frontier cannot be defended anymore but atleast attack the aussies in there own soil when you next tour them in 2007 and bring the pride back.
Tendulkar and Laxman, You are overrated. Ganguly, a non playing captain. Dravid, the wall made of mud. Sewag, remember you have brain to think. Patel, start from the toilet training. Kaif , tomorrow never dies. Yuvraj, start fishing as your profession. Kumble , calculate your superannuations now. Harbajan, apply for Australian citizenship they need you after Warne. Zaheer,Agarkar,Karthik think of changing career.

Mentality of Submissiveness
by ravibarla on Oct 29, 2004 09:14 AM

I can not even dream of India repeating what Zimbabwe did few years ago in this same ground simply because we Indians just enjoy our mentality of submissiveness. Recently I read an article quoting Infosys Chairman Narayanamurthy commenting that Indians should come out of their mentality of Submissiveness. Obviously he was more refering to but I feel that is applicable every where. We just have the mentality to simply accept what ever is imposed on us without fighting it out. With the lacking of this very basic quality amongst our batsmen (which was displayed in most of the cases except in few occassions which can more be considered as fluke than the real fight)how can I even have the dream of India repeating what Zimbabwe does!

WILL THIS TRUTH BE UNDERSTOOD...
by raghu on Oct 29, 2004 06:27 AM

Time and again this cricket team plays horrid cricket and again after couple of series of slump the so called "great players" call a minnow nation and every one scores century and we rejoice. The truth is that if a country gives such importance to these ppl they become like spoilt brats and become lazy and play not for their country but for themselves scoring centuries against all low ranked cricket nations...the truth is that the country should play and encourage other games so that ppl taking up other games turn out to be healthier rather that standing on the ground doing nothing all day. Truth is that all of the ppl in India should encourage other sports and stop watching cricket...

My Comment

Good article. But i feel it is too early to say that India would not deserve the win if at all they win. To win they will have to bat out a day and a half and probably score 500+ runs. And if they do that then we are sure that they deserve the victory. You never get what you dont deserve.

well said rajeev... i completely agree with you.. lets face the situation.. i think its the time to look for fresh blood .. who can perform at the big stage.. whts the point in having batsmen who cant perform on home pitches?? so selectors.. its the time to act n cut down few names from the present squad.. let them get back to national cricket .. perform there n win thier places back...

In True Indian Tradition
by Ved on Oct 29, 2004 05:49 AM

In True Indian Tradition what you wrote is great. We
Indians are no good for anything thats why the Bias umpires get away with all the judgment agains India and call it human error. Interestingly this human error always go against India. The writers and authorities are too busy licking boots of the whites, thats why no wonder India can never win.
The Australian series would have been won by India and this series may have gone their way except for bias decisions against India. Keep up this good job O cricket Journalists of India while rest of the world is laughing at your stupidity.

Unfair

I think we are not giving the australian team enough credit here. Sure our batsmen could be performing better but I think they are only playing as good as they are being allowed to.

The line and length from the aussies has been extremely disciplined and McGrath has finally shown what might have been had he played in the australia series last year.

I think its high time we rid of this *home* pride and look forward to having a competitive team in all conditions. A team that shows fight (I think apart from the first innings in the third test the team has shown ample fight).

by Ricardo on Oct 29, 2004 04:33 AM

well looky here, Australians been trying to give a head to pple around the world, wuts been goin so far. Indians been slack, playing tardily. Indian's don't deserve to win this match, even wont get close to the target. Australians been honk--ing a magical sound so far lol, just busting the opposite. well i try to stick myself in my bunk and gaze the score all the time in TV. Australians are way better then indians -- they are champ's so indian's just should praise them --- PERIOD lol-----indians are done for this match hehe ____|____
