Hey man, Stop this habbit of criticising Ganguly. This person is the captain who has infused this sense of belief,courage and confidence in his team members. He was the first one to show the way in test and even in oneday he was the first one with his 82 started the Indian onslaught against Aussies. he failed for only two innings but he made up in the last match with impressive bowling and fielding. Dont compare him with Laxman because he is now with God's touch and this happens for a few time in the cricketing career of a player. Please stop talking if you still find issues to criticise a captain who has made us proud. I guess some people dont like Ganguly personally - why drag this thing here .... But Ganguly is a great Captain and good player.
It was a good match overall. But one request to all your authors, instead of giving Rohan Gavaskar the tag of Gavaskar, I would request you to just call him Rohan. If we have seen just enough of him then we have to accept that this guy has created a place for himself and it would be really unfair from our side to give ppl a chance to compare him to his legendary father. Instead, it would be nice if we just call him Rohan and give him a fair chance to emulate his father on his own. He has the potential and all he needs is support. It would be great if we dont add the pressure on him by always comparing him with Sunny.
I don't think any sensible Indian cricket lover can expect anything better than this. This team is brilliant and has performed to its potential all the time. From 4 for 3, we reached 280 without Tendulkar in the team. In the previous match too, we made almost 300 without the presence of "God". Our relatively inexperienced bowling - Balaji, Pathan, Karthik - have performed exceptionally. There is a definite "team spirit" in the team - no individual brilliance. Everyone has performed so far - Tendulkar, Laxman, Dravid, Ganguly (with the ball!), Yuvraj, Gavaskar, Sehwag, Agarkar, Pathan and Balaji. They have taken turns in spoiling the party of the Opposition. One can easily see "professionalism" in the team today. We don't lose a match without a fight even against the best team in the world. What else does one expect? If someone expects something more, he/she is simply being unpragmatic and unfair!
Congrats to Laxman who is Very Very Special. In a weeks time he has three tons to his credit and that shows his calibre as a Cricketer. Back in India, all are waiting to see more of such performances from Laxman, which is very good for the Indian Team's win.
It was nice to watch India winning a match without our master Sachin. Now our team has proved that we can win tensed tight finish matches. Saurav is the gutsy,intelligent and Luckiest captan who can take India to No.1 position in world ranking. Laxman has proved again what a class batsmen he is. Rohan will be next Yuvraj in coming years. All the Best Team India. Win more and more matches for India.
What else u want when players like sachin,shewag,yuvraj,zaheer is injured and not in the game. Even then i feel both batman and bowlers did their job well. i would like to congratulate saurav for his efforts to win this match with less winning resources. He didn;t have options of bowlers.. even shewag,sachin,yuvraj are part time boulers. so he missed all the part time bowlers.. and winning this match should increase his confidence... Please Ensure we get the vb series..Cup To India. All the Best.. East or West India is the Best
Ganguly has been an excellent captain. His ability to bring the best of the youngsters and pin his confidence on them is something that should be praised about. He never gives up till the end.. in my opinion, when the captain's body language is good so is that of the rest of the team.
