Well done India
by Rahul on Jan 24, 2004 07:49 PM

India proved that we dont need a Sachin or a Sehwag and we can still win matches. Even the last loss to Australia was after we nearly won it. This Indian team finally has a spirit that has been lacking for a long long time. And full marks to Saurav and Rahul for that. Congrats. Hope we win the series final!

A good win with limited resources
by Shib Shankar Baidya on Jan 24, 2004 07:43 PM

I congratulate the Indian Cricket Team for winning today's match against Zimbabwe with limited options both in bowling and batting. The pitch was really suited for batting and VVS Laxman, Carlisle and Ervine proved it. Sourav had few bowling options but he managed with the available options exceedingly well. Well done India!

ganguly has done reasonably well, but i can't understand why he is not utilising gavaskar, badani, yuvraj in the bowling options

limited options
by neeraja on Jan 24, 2004 07:03 PM

with most of the good players prefering to join the injured list rather than the players list, ganguly did have limited options.
however, he & his team could have definitely performed better than this.
overall i think v v s lakshman has been the pick of the batsmen & agarkar has done well with the ball.
gavaskar def deserves a mention & would definitely be a better pick as compared to bangar.

Sir,
We are very much Impressed with the batting ov Laxman,Dravid and Specialy Rohan Gavaskar, We are very much need a slow bowler like S.Bangar he is as effective as Ian Harvery of Australia.

Raviraj

Bangar is the unsung hero.It is time the captain delivered,Lakshman has to continue at No.3,so Ganguly can become non playing captain.

about the indian team
by rajesh kashyap on Jan 24, 2004 06:51 PM

indian team doing tremondrous performence during this session. But we don't need to be over confidence. Our skipper should have realise that we have a very week bouling line up.I hope he won't do experiment in final series with Aus. What i want to suggest to skipper that there is no need to give a chance to sanjay bangar.. i think he neither good in bowling and nor in batting. as i suggest that indian batting line up should be like...... openner (sachin & sahevag)1st down(dravid)2nd down(luxman)3rd (yuvraj singh)4th(saurav)5th(rohan)6th(Agarkar)7th(pathan)8th(kumbale)9th(nehra)
