Laxman and Dravid

If dravid is " THE WALL" then laxman is a wall which can crash over any opponent.

VVS laxman in the past few matches clearly established his skills vey carefully and tactfully ... India always needs players like him who really contribute themselves fully for the Team.

We wish the Indian Team All the best to perform the upcoming matches and win them utmost in the same fashion.

Ganguly's dismissal
by R.Jagdish on Jan 24, 2004 03:51 PM

I think Ganguly get some major training in delaing with short pictched stuff , before touring Pakistan. His dismissal seems to be cheap and childish.

Hi Arul Raj
Yes Gabguly is not perfoming with batting but have seen any captain of India from late 1980's who was so succesful in lifting the team morale and working as a unit. I would say Ganguly is the chief architect behind all these close wins and looses besides decent perfomances by the boys. He is making the boys beleive themselves.

no way..we can not blame our captain for anything...if he can bring us laurels in whatever way he is..its fine and good and even if he is playing below average..he will still remain the best captain of india ever...

You are a loser, man! Our team has been winning left and right and more importantly, has been performing wonderfully even when they happen to lose. The captain has done a turnaround in the confidence in the team. He has been aggressive go-getter and made the best of resources he has. And, you say you are disappointed with him? Just because, he has not performed for the past 2-3 matches. Boss, believe me, Ganguly seems to deserve his place in the team for his sheer captaining skills. He has been brilliant. Come away from criticising Indian team or their captain for something of the other, even after brilliant performances. It is time for Kudos now!

You are partially wrong Mr.Satya Sundar.
Badani came in to the bat, when only 3 or 4 overs are left. It is time to slog and score some quick runs. That is what he did!
Badani has never got a chance in this series to prove himself.
But, Rohan got plenty of chances! Obviously, because he is Gavaskar's Son! In fact, Rohan has robbed Badani's place. But, Rohan made use of the oppurtinities.

But, what you said about Bangar and Patel is correct!

Our Captian should realise what he is doing. i dont think he is behaving as captian at all. he always blaming others. His performance is not good. he should give way to others like dravid or lakshman.

Typical response of an Indian cricket fan, isn't it? One match and Ganguly should not be the skipper? God bless you.

Well! Well! Well!
Here's somebody who is really ignorant of Captaincy, Cricket and English!

I guess, it is a useless discussion talking about the merits of batting skills of Ganguly, when he is contributing so much as a Captain. For long, Indians have never had a good astute captain (after maybe Ravi Shastri). Now that you have one, you are baying for his batting.

Admitted Ganguly is not in the best of nicks, but you should not forget that he is the second leading century maker in ODIs. And that when in flow, he is much more elegant to watch than even the Master Blaste. Give him credit for his captaincy. Baying for him batting when everybody else is firing (courtesy of course, to his captaincy!), your comment is a half-baked, immature comment and requests a mere sympathetic 'tch!tch!' for that emotional outburst. Remember Tendulkar's loss of form at the beginning. Do you talk of that now?

Unless ICC changes its rules of allowing a Non-Playing Captain for Cricket like Tennis, I feel Ganguly's place in the Indian Cricket Team is more than his weight in gold.

Thanks,

With regard to the playing eleven ,I guess
Ganguly had limited options,particularly batting
as three of the main batsmen in the injured list.

These bangar's,patel's,badani's seem to never
realise that they have a golden opportunity in
their hands of having making a lasting impression
in the absence of big three(sachin, sehwag and yuvraj).
In this aspect, rohan gavaskar has impressed one
and all ,and he should be persisted with and seems
to be commited cricketer.

Mr. Satya Sundar,
Something Similar was said of each individual in the team baring Sachine at the intial stages of their careers. These are a talented lot, but even talent needs time to mature and reap. so my dear friend Patience. Patience is the Key. By giving such unnecessary comments dont show the lack of depth in your cricketing dictionary as well as down the moral of these individuals. They are playing to the team plan and for themselves. That itself is the heartening thing. Good Luck

I agree with Patel and Bangar, but do not forget Badani did not get even time. It is a huge mistake by Indian Team to make patel a opener. If he is playing must be down the order. Likes of Badani should be given a chance to open ahead of patel. Also, patel can be good bet in slog overs, not badani.
