I feel sorry for young Parthiv. He has been used and abused by Ganguly. Dinesh Karthik is no doubt a better wicketkeeper batsman than Parthiv but this is no way to treat young Parthiv. If one goes by performance in the Asia cup then even Laxman,Ganguly,Yuvraj,Kaif,Harbhajan,Kumble and Balaji should have been dropped,not just Parthiv Patel. Even Sehwag and Dravid let India down with their batting. So why was Partiv Patel the only player to have been dropped? It is good that Zaheer was rested for his body to heal. Now Ganguly will once again abuse young Dinesh Karthik just like he messed around with Parthiv Patel. If anyone deserves to be dropped from the Indian team it is Saurav Ganguly. He is not the same mercurial Ganguly we used to know. He is just a shadow of his past. It is time India got rid of Ganguly and moved on. Even VVS Laxman is a mere tourist in the one day sqaud. Is India holding on to VVS for his niggardly 10-12 runs that he scores out of 30-40 balls in every match?

team is playing for india not for some perticular region. You are telling Dhoni is better than parthiv. But think really he is better than Dinesh Karthik form.

MS Dhoni do well better if he get a offer from 1st class match , since Ranji trophy Team selectors closely watching the Dinesh Karthick Outstanding Perfomances. thats'why he selected.
Parthiv need to be develope his batting skills.. and foot work also.
How many chances does a mediocre cricketer like Kaif deserve? Except for the Natwest innings, I do not remember any innings that he has played worth a mention. I think he has been rewarded many times over, both in terms of donning the national colors and endorsements, for that single innings of note and now he should be told to cool his heels and learn the basics of batting.
I am sure cricket lovers from other opponent countries will disagree with me because they will be happy to see Kaif in the Indian side.
