Ramakant M. Gurjar
Selection of Cricket Team..
by Ramakant M. Gurjar on Dec 01, 2003 02:15 PM

It is pity that chairman of Selection gives a all clear certificate to goalkeeper Dasgupta (he has improved||||..
Laxman, may score as many centuries in ODI's also(?)
but still I am firm in my opinion he is not ODI player.
Sehwag, will never-ever be consistent. Yuvi, too same way.. Kaif has limitations... But all three will be in ODI squad. Who cares for performances...........
G. Gambhir, K.Parida, A. Rayudu... continue to do well but do not hope for birth in Sr. team....
Ready to take a bait.... Let Ganguly score total 250 runs in 4 Tests in Australia.....
With the kind of batters in Sehwag, new comer Chopra,Ganguly and Dasgupta... onceagain the onus of scoring will be on Sachin, Dravid and inconsistent Laxman.. and you plan to win in Australia....????
God save you guys and Indian Cricket.............

selectors lack common sense
by Balasubramanian on Nov 26, 2003 12:35 PM

Hi,
I read ur article and fully agree with it. The selectors don't have any brains. Many people say anil kumble is a spent force --- he can do anything on the bouncy tracks of australia.. the thing is i have been watching his performance on the so called bouncy tracks and his performance is not the one to be talked about.

Indian Team to Australia
by Srinivasan .Kesavan on Nov 24, 2003 04:23 PM

Dear all( i mean our respected selectors)

Will u please stop this practice of joke in selecting the TEAM for the sports to be played more professionally and with high standards. let me tell u something, to have our mother india to be a developed and apparently a emerging SUPER POWER, we all need to be clean in our mind and as well set high standards in all fields. For got sake dont spoil our great india marching on its way to growth path because of your ignorance. we need quality in every wlak of our life. U can see the controversy in slection for India "A" Team and so on....
Good Example Murali Karthik.. please Kumble is getting old and everyone is able to read him well. look the way Kiwis picked him in the onedayer.. comeon like wise we say for one alrounder??? we have to keep young talents belnded with the senoir in both farm of cricket. even harbajjan doesnt use his cricketing brain many times.. salvi atleast replaced because of injury.. we need good and fair slection regardless of region the player hails from..
i repsects people like kirmani who think possitive. but to have kumble...?????!!! no comments.I am really feeling that the fate of this game in wrong hands

Money - the criteria for selection
by Rajan on Nov 24, 2003 01:01 PM

Hai Prem,
So my ideas and opinion turned out to be TRUE with the embroglia of accusations from various sources that Cricket Selection in India is a totally SALE item.
Those who can approach and amicably bribe the officials gets their term as the case of Politicians.
With the advent of reentries of Select band of BCCI officials making it a big gambling pot for poor lovers of the gasme like me.
Iam totally convinced that all the enquiries etc all are motivated and coverups only and the real truth will never come out to vindicate the same thing.
There is no accountability in ouir country for anything be it Social Project or Entertainment one and the sufferers are Indian public whose money is plundered by the Politicians and the so called officials of these Govt. affiliated bodies, the biggest of such being the BCCI.
GOD HELP INDIA AND ITS PEOPLE.

Poor Kartik
by Shiv Ganapathy on Nov 21, 2003 08:36 PM

I really pity Murali Kartik. If he were in Australia, he would have faced a similar fate. The only difference would have been that he would probably have been losing his place to "deserving" competetors, rather than being dodged by the ever-so-inconsistant selection panel.

Anil Kumble is real lucky that he got a ticket to Austrailia. When will the selectors learn that it is performance thatis to be considered in selecting a team.In recent times kaif has failed more than any other matsman. Why not leave him out and give Rayudu a chance.

Reg cricketers
by satish on Nov 21, 2003 03:17 PM

Best way to put the cricketers in right place is ..whenever somebody is not playing well people shouldn't buy that product at all to show their angry...then player will be coming to know the importance of playing than to acting in ads.
