Dissapointing article
by ram v on Jun 04, 2003 11:46 PM

This article is definetly dissapointing. It just shows how a smart indian got the attention of the aussies and thats his only claim to fame. The bitter taste is his absolute high regard for Australia and absolutely no regard for Indian cricket. No one needs the beautiful intelligence given by this guy to figure out the Aussies are in a different league.

His thoughts about India at the WorldCup are at best laughable. Our world cup campaign was successfull and credit is due to John Wright and Saurav Ganguly and the entire team. They played like never before. I have been watching indian cricket for over 15 years and this is the best I have seen my country play.

Mumbaiker

Hey Preetham:

How many government forms have you filled in Mumbai? I have to struggle not only with the Marathi-laced goverment forms, but also the Aamchi-Mumbai Pandu's asking for dollars.

Proud to be Mumbaiker hence I respect and have learned some Marathi. But I definitely do not relish or look forward to writing an exam in Marathi, holding a long detailed conversation in Marathi - not exactly my cup of tea.

And neither makes me any less of a "Mumbaiker"!

so the examiner spoke Marathi...So how does that affect the actual test. Was it an interview or exam...I can understand if it was an interview..but the examiner has nothing to do with the actual test with his vernacular. Did the examiner not understand KT's answers. Or did Kt not know when he could start writing...or stop...or that he could not cheat...or that it was a statisticians test...so if i go to Chennai..and the examiner speaks Tamil...do teh numbers change...do the test questions take a different meaning...my examiners here in teh US have their own dialect or hill billy speak...that does not mean the language i have to answer in changes...

regarding your comment on the worldcup performance of the Indians
by ramakrishna on Jun 04, 2003 11:36 PM

Hey man Krishna ,your art of recording the data is quite astounding. But regarding your comment on the worldcup performance of the Indians, I disagree with that. You say imagine India without sachin in the worldcup but I say u imagine the Aus without Bichel in the worldcup,I think they would have never reached finals had he not been replaced for Gillespie, like that every team has a Hero.

My sincere advice to you is that stop doing service to other nations when they don't pay you off, serve your motherland.

Krishna's poor attempt to draw attention
by Parag Kane on Jun 04, 2003 11:29 PM

Such statstics and analysis (so called) is useless and waste of time for the creator as well as readers. Rediff should not publish any article just for the sake of publishing, but it should also check the autheticity of such articles before publishing. Krisha may be trying to come in fame with his some influence in rediff.

unsatisfied indians?
by sabari on Jun 04, 2003 11:18 PM  | Hide replies

Why is that indians are always unsatisfied with our team's performance.Even experienced commentators of India who have played at the highest level are so critical of india's performance.Just hear the english team commentators they praise nasser hussain an ordinary batsman like a magician. So support Ganguly & Co. fully.

And why do we Indian's have to possess such inferiority complexes?

Do we have to storm and shout to prove our point? Can we not take some criticism/comments without bashing others?

It is the same goddamn attitude we showed when our own Indian team failed in their first match - blackened their houses, carried mock funerals, etc.

very dumb indeed
by Surya on Jun 04, 2003 11:10 PM

Krishna seems to infer that all superior teams are probably those that have not been adequately tested.by the same yardstick, the aussies were worse off! they weren't tested at all? does that mean they were worse than the indians and didn't deserve to win the world cup and just got lucky?! it's Krishna who got lucky that the team he was doing his maths about won.spare us the torture of such articles in future, please.
