sachin got a car from the FIAT as a giftfor his remarkable 29 testcenturies and equal the bradmans test centuries record. we have no need to pay any gift taxes to the govt,now .The man who recieves the gift from any body,he may not feel unhappy when he recieves the gift.If sachin pays the import tax1.13 lakhs of rupees(Its the more amount than the actual cost of the car) surely it is mockery to the gift taker . Every man feels unhappy,when he has to pay the penal amount to the postman for his recieved unstamped or insufficient stamped letter. The govt. has given exemption to Sachin in view of giving the happiness to Sachin .It is a really good decision of the Govt. of india.
Dont blame a sportsman. We should recognize their contribution and should have a uniform law to waive such duly. To the people who are against him, I would like to ask if they would ever declare 1 crore rupees to Indian government for a Tax cut? If the answer is NO then you dont have any right to write against Sachin. If anyone is at fault than it is Indian Government as everyone has a constitutional right to make such request. Ashish Varan
yeh i do agree with the thing Mr.niranjan from pune have to say on this....sachin tendulkar is definitely is a celebrity in india n he made idia proud in the field of cicket but not to forget first of all he is also a common man...nd every law tht applies to the common man shud be applicable to him too......why to make feel celebrities always feel that they are like god to every1 else? and if the sports ministry wants to spend some good amount of money on sports person then i have a good suggestion for them.....why not to give rewards to those ppl who r makin india proud through other sports like hockey,indoor games.
are wake up every one does their duty the duudwalla gets milk..it is his duty in the cycle of life...so u give him a waiver the kachadawalla picks up garbage and helps recycle and clean up....do u give him a waiver.

It is really shocking to know that my money, I paid as tax to the government has been diverted for the luxury of a billioner like sachin tendulkar. Apparently, the government is interested in cheap popularity only Same amount of money can change lives of hundreds of needy people, dying in dearth of food and medicine.
when we can spend crores of money for the security of worthless so called NETAS why can't we do the same for sachin whom the all Indians love.I feel nothing wrong in it.Atleast he is doing something for our motherland.
