It is a sheer waste of money on BCCI part to pay for Sachin's finger injury. Instaed of footing the bill of atleast Rs. 10 lakhs., they can floodlit a statdium or sponser a team for a 'A' kind of tour. I do not think sachin would either mind this kind of gesture from BCCI, after all he is a human being. I would sincerey trust sachin would reject that BCCI offer for the operation and spend his own money, for the 1 month rest in USA. I am a GREAT FAN of Sachin, yet do not want the money not spent wise on simple things..(instead of sponsering a new young cricketer). and trust that sachin can afford his medical bills..
To all those who critisize this news, Sachin and BCCI : BCCI is just another business firm. Benefits to sachin are worth every penny for them and it may not be true in the case of nehra. Regardless, news like this one gains popularity because ppl like you and me read and reply to them like this. That's an incentive for rediff and they wouldn't want to miss it. And one should understand that this news is posted with such an importance because of the recent accolade sachin grabbed (Man of the tournament). If ponting's finger is to be injured, it wouldn't be posted cuz it wouldn't be read or responded by so many ppl. Get it ???
I read some comments that the article is a waste of time and doesn't worth the mention on the sports page. Well if that's true why are you clicking on the link and reading it and also gving your 2cents worth on it?? Also I read some one saying Sachin is no more a match winner, well of course you have a shortest memory, cause you don't remeber a game played 2 months ago on March 1 is SAF. Let me remind you it was game between IND & PAK with IND chasing mammoth 274, Sehwag gave his usual catch in the off-side, our captain prince scored a duck, it was Sachin who took the attack to the opponents and if he hadn't hurt his leg he would have stayed till the end. They couldn't get him out in any way so they "threw" a ball at him as he was injured to get him out. All you "Sachin Critics" you are just jealous of him cause who ever your favorite cricketer is he is not as good as Sachin, infact amongst the current players no body can match him and amingst the one in the past only Viv and Bradman were as good as him.

yo man....thats the spirit...thats like a true sachin fan..you say exactly what i feel....in india people are jealous of others and often speak without having knowledge of what they are speaking on...i mean, c'mon....saying that sachin isnt a match winner anymore is insanity....
