Unnecessary
by Shanmugam on Apr 30, 2003 08:45 PM

India has improved so much in Medical Field that even Americans are coming to India for Treatment. So it is unnecessary for Tendulkar to go to America and have surgery. It is waste of time and money.

Yes! News about Sachin is Important
by Satyadeep on Apr 30, 2003 08:44 PM

This message is especially for the people who object to this news piece. Let me ask you. We do report news about small events in the life of our morally corrupt politicians all the time. Sachin on the contrary is the only real pride of our country. His injury has the potential to shake the cricketing future of our country, so millions of fans were anxiously waiting for the news of his surgery. I am sure this piece of news must have satisfied millions of people worldwide.

I dont understand y this players go abroad to get treated, doesnt our country have good docs, and is the BCCI so rich body that it can finance his and BCCi doc JOSHI to finance their trips abroad, at the same time a rediff article shows a Billiards world champion Mr.Jones struggling for his life without proper finance,he is also a reciepient of Padma shri,Arjuna awards,is india recognises only cricketers, which is called a game of 11 fools playing and 11,000 lakhs watching.
I hope indian govt. stops financing foolish cricketers, and takes care of world class players like Jones,Mohd.Shahid,etc.
ammen, save the country of fools
