Its is absolutely ridculous for BCCI to bear the expenses for Sachins surgery. No doubt, he is the pride and prestige of India, but he is too well off and rich to enough to undergo his surgery, free of cost. In a country where so many are suffering due to lack of money, it is absolutely merciless and a sin to go on spending infinitely for one or tow people.
The media just is the one that takes INDIA and its people to where they are right now. I as an Indian, would rather like to see our soldiers being mentioned on the frontpage...rather its if tendulkar hurts his ring finger...there is a big hoopla....and "Twenty soldiers died today" sports in some corner of the second last page.... Cmon people, he plays for himself...the money he gets, he hasnt spent any considerable amount on charity..whereas look at Steve waugh, he isnt even from INDIA, still comes here to help trusts. AAAh...this is our plight... somedays back some editor on rediff wrote an article about "tendulkar being god" ..goodness....look at the soldiers...they earn a meagre amount...and they die for the nation...talk about them...honour them....not some cricketer who earns all for himself...
