Every one should note that, party cadres in TN like DMK, ADMK, PMK, MDMK, etc., work hard for their party. Their sprit is that they consider opponent party cadres as enemies. But two decades ago Congress has lost party cadrs and leaders out number cadres. All election works are carried out by contractors and they spend time to foster infighting. No doubt sosme of them inspite of defeat will get ministerial berth. Jayalalitha who is alwayas opposed to LTTE suddenly suppotrting Eelam has not won the heart of people becuse she accused DMK in Rajiv death and won earlier. It has not helped her to cut the ice. But DMK whether or not supported the tamil cause may be lip service sometimes, was consistant in approach. Fasting drama, sending emissories to lanka, cancellation of sonia's meeting, etc contributed much to the defeat of Cong. Rahul's speech almost burried the sprit of DMK cadres. Moreover filmdom has done a good job in exposing congress in aiding genocide in Eelam.Their one point agenda has succeded. The better utilisation of money power of DMK has given the fruits.
Laugh away guys....i belong to no party but always go by the type of government and leader that is preferred.....now u people in tn dumped congress - expect them to hold back many developments in tn......hurrah....you are worried about the neighbourhood burning but u are not aware that your own home is ablaze.....njoy
Jayalalitha is an out and out actress; same to vijaykanth....they speak as if they deliver dialogues in movies....how long can they hoodwink people???.....M.G.R and 2 leaves will soon be obsolete 'coz yongsters only see the present leader and future....ramdoss is an opportunist....vaiko is a coward....dmk did their homework and won....congress lost because of people more concerned about their neighbours and not about their home......pathetic

totally agree with u - all film actors in the south when their films start flopping they get in the political "business" & start to mint money again. poor people the sooner they realise the better for them.

I think you have no idea about politics when you equate Jayalalithaa with Vijaykanth. It is like people who still call Sonia Gandhi a housewife. Jayalalithaa is a seasoned politician. Nobody is a born politician except the dynasties, so it does not matter what their previous career was! And it is remarkable that ADMK has won as many seats without Cong alliance.

If PMK has not joined DMK this time, hence they loose their MP seats badly. If PMK joints with DMK , I think they may got their 4 seats or more seats. Mr. Ramdoss should think for welfare of tamil people and not for only power game.
Re: PMK in tamilnadu

pmk is a party without any political ideology but with arrogance, belligerance. cunningness, diobolical tongue and above all most opportunistic, no regard for political seniority and wisdom the most self centered his political game with kaduvetti's and inexperinced political psychopants has cost him more dearly. tamilnadu politicians should distance this clown for ever. finally vanniar society has rejected this buffoon
Congress is a natural ally of AIADMK and lost the plot entirely in aligning with the DMK even in the last Assembly elections. DMK treats them like dirt and the High Command has no nose for this ground realities and simply because the DMK leaders cozy upto Sonia for the sake of Ministerial berths, they imagine that Congress has some presence in Tamilnadu. DMK never works for its allies and is a selfish party. Its vote bank/clout does not help any of its allies and they have to fight their own battle. The congress's local leaders do not have any mass base and live in Delhi and some of them enjoy ministerships and do not care for developing their cadre. Moreover in the Sri LAnka issue, the DMK showed as though it was really caring for the Tamils with their dramatics while Congress was not seen to be supporting the Tamil cause. Therefore all these factors have led to the defeat of Congress in Tamilnadu. At least hereafter their High Command should give importance to local issues and give freedom to local leaders and also develop a cadre base so that they can continue to have some presence in future.

In Congress, there is no democracy. Its aristocratic party and will remain so for eternity. Rahul's son will also become PM and his greandson and his great grandson. What shit is this man? Disgusting.

In Tamilnadu, Congress got defeated because instead of stopping Lanka from killing Tamils, they were supporting it.
PMK lost because people dont like caste parties anymore. Same with some new party called KMP which was caste based.
Tamils have shown again that they are the smartest people in India by voting for the right cause and candidature.
No more caste, religion and anti-tamil politics in Tamilnadu.
The decision taken by P M K leader Mr Ramdass for the sake of money leaving the people's thinking burnt his fingure and the same on the actor Vijayakant Do not think the people of Tamilnadu are not having any sense. Try to understand the situation
Re: Decision of P M K and D M D K
by sv venkatachalam on May 16, 2009 01:28 PM
This is correct. Every leader should respect the people and they are for the people. Without having the stable thinking and for the sake of other things going to the AIADMK by PMK from DMK is wrong decision and the TN people have teached a good lesson
