VVS and Viru have the winning luck. When they score the team wins. Gauti and Yuvi also have that luck. Dravid is ok. No negative vibes. Tendlya is very very very very negative vibes. If scores and Viru/VVS fail then team loses. Dhoni is winning on the luck of these guys. Bring VVS to One day team as well. His good luck will rub onto team. In one dayers India is losing a few matches because luck of VVS is missing Forget fielding. Just look at luck.

yes ranjan micheal angelo do not have any other words except luck of course vvs can be a good option to keep in one dayer also n is good to keep in forward short leg fielding posn as he wl easily grab catches putting on helmet n also can be wall for long wicket eventhough he wl not go for big shots but can save wkts on another end

when india got mini world cup under his captaincy without sachin , saurav, dravid, laxman etc.. it was called pure luck, now it is called due to all above player.He is now 2nd best captain india ever have after saurav, he has a best record as wicket keeper batsman, he is performing as good wicket keeper also. Why anybody is feeling problem in giving credit to him what he desrves
Remember the gud old days of 2007 world cup , wen dravid captained team, with likes of sachin, ganguly, laxman, zaheer in the team, & we were kicked out by minnows Bangladesh, which was our ever shameful from any tournamnt,

mr.ponnacha kutty**, what i conveyed is, the same team under any other captain except dhoni will not play so well as it plays now. I am also dead against tendulkar who only plays for record. VVS is far far better than tendulkar in test cricket.

The old saying is "Captain is as good as his team".. but in modern times Captains role is larger then his primary duty that is bowling/batting/fielding... and he is already doing three duties at one time captaincy/batting/wicketkeeping.. may he lacks in batting because of other pressures but on the whole he as a leader he is doing good as all the team members are happy under him and the discipline and enjoyement with the team spirit is maintained...

What contribution you want? He is playing as a wicketkeeper. Still look at his batting average as captain.
Many says India can with any captain with the current team.....not really.......India being No 1 Test Team but Dhoni as captain knows well how weak is the current bowling attack. Only with Zaheer & Bhajji he has managed to get 20 wkts of opposition on every victory. Dhoni is not complimented liked Ponting having 4 strike bowlers when they were peak in the likes of Mcgrath, Warne, Gillespie plus always good allrounder, which india is missing. Dhoni's luck is opposition Batsman are making enough mistakes hence we win but not from our bowling with exception of Zaheer. Even Bhajji is not in his peak form whole of last year though he is working hard. Given this situation and descent contribution from his bat, he has done remarkable job among any capatins India ever had or i can say even all current captains of other countries

Well, nobody is putting that aside but in simple words the captain of the ship matters more than others and Dhoni is that captain.

Actually it was VVS who was plumb LBW of Harris, Umpire Davis saved him and this led to India's victory.

A captain is as good as the team. Any captain would have done well when he has Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman, Zaheer and Harbhajan in the team. The real challenge for Dhoni will come when the seniors retire and the team will have newcomers like Raina, Pujara, Ishant, Ojha and so on. See what happened to Ponting when the big players retired.

Great thing about Dhoni is that he is not a liablity. Earlier, we had pure wicketkeeper, pure captian but Dhoni is both wicketkeeper and captain. He is not doing good these days with bat otherwise he is great.

India lost by 2-0 against NZ. India got whitewashed in ODI series in SA. India lost to Aus by 2-1. India exited in first round of 2007 WC. India lost ODI series in England. India lost by 4-1 marging in Westindies.
Dhoni is another sachin for market forces, having huge sponsorship deals. This is PR writing. His role has always been of a skipper not as a player. We have experienced players playing very well. Still one needs to give him credit.

Dhoni is # 1 batsman in da world & won many matches for the team wid his batting. Stayed on top of the rankings for a long time & soon he wud be up there again,
