Dinesh Karthik is the only guy who has the right temperament and technique for Test cricket. Dravid and VVS also, but they are going downhill now.
Yuvraj and sachin both are in the form...If you are not giving the chance to person like Yuvraj at this point of time then we should shoot the team management.....

Yuvi should have been included for the first test at the cost of Saurav (who is also a great player but not in good form at present)
VVS is till averaging 50 in Tests despite coming in at No6 and is an automatic choice with his track record in Australia.Secondly he is the best slip fielder in the country. Actually the battle for the batting slot should be between the 2 left handers Saurav and Yuvraj

Well said Ravi. It is unfortunate that media and team management always think of Yuviraj replacing Laxman . Why dont they think about Yuvaraj replacing saurav ,because Laxman has good average than Saurav and almost all of his centuries have won the matches for the team.

you are right. if someone has to go out, it has to be ganguly. keeping ganguly in and yuvraj out would be ridiculous.
Guys....Thank god Sewag is not in the squad. Can any one of you tell me y Sewag is still considered for the team. He himself knows that 'ab cricket uske bas ki baat nahin hai', but the idiots like Sastri, Srikanth, Vengi are expecting him. We have players like Badrinath, Kaif, M Tiwary and many more better than Sewag.
Last but not the least is Sewag better than Rahul Dravid?

Sehwag is far better than Kaif. The words used 'ab cricket uske bas ki baat nahin hai' suits kaif more than Sehwag. Kaif is one of the worst batsman . He cannot be chosen just based on his fielding. I think he should retire now.

Ramzy.....i can not reply your first query, cos am tired of it.
In front Dravid sewag is nothing. I would say Dravid should in 11 in ODI as well. His absence made us to loss the last ODI. I dont know y guys like Kapils, Gavaskars are keeping their mouth shut
Note:I think Sachin Will Open the Innings with Jaffer 2.Last Chance for Gangully and VVS they have perform in case these guys failed to perform in the next Match Yuvraj and Karthik should be included 3.Kumble repeat the 1999 history..All the Best for you and your team ....Chakk De india

But Mr. Mallikarjun, the team u have picked will be a disasteruous fielding side. Any ball that leaves the bat at decent speed would be a boundary. Pak batsman would have to struggle really really hard to score ones and twos cos all they hit would be boundaries

Dhoni is proven wicket-keeper batsman and Karthik is not out because of south. There are lots of South indian player in eleven. Yuvraj is better batsman than karthik.

going on current form, yes parthiv is much much better player especially on batting and keeping as well. dont judge his 4 years' back performances. he is much improved lot if one goes thru current performances. ppl hv tendency to think nostalgic, and on the same thinking, ppl vote for veeru for his 2 yrs. back form.

In the North South debate, Why is this term IDLI being brought in. Its afterall a freakin food.And why would all South Indians be called IDLY,DOSA,WADA,SAMBAR etc? and Whats wrong if someone eats these things? Could someone explain me the rationale behind this?

Prakash, All these North Indians are jealous because they could no make good stuff such as idli, dosa etc. You travel anywhere in North India and you will find that there is a big demand for idli and dosa. In South the demand for North Indian stuff is less. That explains the jealousy.
Anyway, the onbly serious contender for a place in Indian team is Uthappa. All rotis, parathas and subzis can keep waiting.

If india is not able to handle the depleted Pak bowling attack with 6 batsmen on home soil, then there is no point in playing at international level. Their strong batting lineup should be able to accomodate an extra bowler so that Kumble could also concentrate on captaining the side. So going in with 7 batsmen and only 4 bowlers is going to be a disaster. All the best India!!!!!
