NON MUMBAIKAR CAPTAIN -DHONI .
by Gilbert Gomes on Sep 19, 2007 12:37 PM

THE MUMBAI BCCI LOBBY JUST MANAGED TO SAVE ITS IMAGE BY SELECTING DHONI A NON MUMBAIKAR AS CAPTAIN FOR THE FORTHCOMING ODI SERIES WITH AUS&PAKISTAN.THANKS AT LEAST FOR GIVING THIS SEAT FOR NON-MUMBAIKAR. WELL IN THAT CASE GIVE ALL THE LOBBIES A 2 YEAR TERM.THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A TUG OF WAR BETWEEN THESE LOBBIES.ITS SHAMEFUL AND UNDEMOCRATIC.
ANYWAY GREG IS YOUR NEXTDOOR NEIGHBOUR.THE AUSTRALIAN CONNECTION WILL ALWAYS BE THERE.BCCI NEEDS AN ADVISOR(CRICKETING ONLY)VENGSARKAR IS A DUMMY.EVERYBODY IS UNDER PRESSURE.VENGSARKAR I BELIEVE WAS A GODD DISCIPLINED PLAYER.HOPE HE WILL KEEP UPTO REPUTATION AND FUNCTION AUTONOMOUSLY.THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY PRESSURE ON THEM FROM BCCI WHO HAVE PROVED FAILIERS.

Its not about keeping someone in team just like that...
they are not the dummy variables.
They need to perform. Agarkar do hav some gr8 records wid him like.. getting out on DUCK.
He had seldom done well in the last overs.
I BET IF HE PLAYS TODAY, INDIA CANNOT WIN.

I cant say if India will win or lose if he stays in team today but of course his performance has always been a serious concern due to giving excessive runs in bowling and making no runs in batting. He takes wickets .. agreed .. but at least in 20-20 format, India can't afford to take a bowler who is sooooooooo expensive and not able to contribute by adding some runs to board.

For those who do not support Agarkar - Sresanth has been more expensive than him. He is not the media boy like Pathan and sreshant - Just by getting one wicket pathan and sreeshant will do lot of actions that people get attracted- Media hypes starts by saying this too are very aggresive - Remember those matches which we have won because of agarkar and not many remember. he is a calm person which go against him. i love the way he had taken kallis in irland - beautifull bowlling but this bowler is not groomed properly. Not enough support for him

Captaincy issue
by Nurani Moorthy on Sep 19, 2007 10:26 AM

X Y or Z whoever may be the captain.
Y break our heads.
The captain is only as good as his team.
Dhoni cant do miracles.
Only thing he must do is to improve his batting, which is woefully bad in the current 20/20.

No other player good. Dhoni only choice. Selector not bad. selection necessary objective. Refer model selection methodology.

Romesh Powar 1000 times better / intelligent than Harbhajan. Selection of Harbajan is disastrous.

MrSudhir Harbajans job is to take 2 or 3 wkts in middle overs He is unable to in recent times His fielding and batting is below par See any spinner they will be above par in 2 of the 3 criteria for one day games That is my problem Of course it does not make a damn

It is a shame that when we ourselves have been victims of racial abuse, we are resorting to racial discrimination within our country. Vikas Shukla, you will be born a negro in Africa in your next birth.
