Vodafone: ready to help!!!
by Manu Kale on Jun 04, 2008 02:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Vodafone - so called multinational is using the same gimmicks. They activated "Sai Baba" alerts (I dont know why do Sai Baba alerts through Vodafone only!!) on my cell without asking or even doing anything. Further the company is not having any record of my complaint against them - sent thorugh e-mail on 14.2.08!! (A written complaint is missing & not available with "ready to help" company!!!)

Since the service is continued by them, I have not paid the bill. To which they played another gimmick - they barred my outgoing & for last 2 months the incoming is till continued!!

Of course they want me to pay for the services "used" by me!!

Anybody there to help me sue this so called MNC?

Cellphone Scam
by gabriel pereira on Jun 04, 2008 02:30 PM  Permalink

I too was levied cricket alerts charges by my Hutch/Vodafone provider but after threatening them I got my charges reimbursed to my account. So how you fight/threaten these idiots is the moot point.

Disgusting service provider
by Urban Legend on Jun 04, 2008 02:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I cannot agree further with this article.. I have faced a lot of hardship with this leading CDMA service provider..I'am sure we all know who this leading CDMA operator is.. The caller tune activation happened thrice in a week inspite of my cancellation each time they activated..Also my outgoing was deactivated without any reason.. My bills were paid timely.. the reason given by the service executive was due to the system failure.. If that was not enough..i had my connection terminated without my consent.. can u beat that.. i had to buy a new connection and due to my persistence (tats a mild word to use) i was lucky to get my old number.. Now i get two bills for the same mobile number.. Can so many things happen to one person..well its happened to me.. i'm sure i'll find many others..i'm so pissed off with this operator that i have been pushed to the edge to file a complaint in the consumer court.. its disgusting..

Go ahead.. File the complaint.. otherwise these scoundrel companies think customers are sleeping and don't take our threats seriously.. follow this up and you will definitely be successful. onlything required is patience and determination.. Good luck man!!

Caller tune
by Prema Ramesh on Jun 04, 2008 02:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am a vodafone pre-paid subscriber. The same thing happened with me. I got a SMS on my phone saying caller tune has been activated. When I questioned the customer service as to how they can do it without my asking for it, they were insisting that it would have been done on my request or if anyone else was using my phone. With great difficulty I had to fight it out with them and deactivated the caller tune service.
This is a practice which these service providers are using to cuff out money from the unsuspecting subscribers and a strict action needs to be taken against such practices.

Regards
Prema

Airtel Bangalore poor service
by gaurav on Jun 04, 2008 02:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I had an Airtel data card for my personal internet requirement. My bill plan was 349 per month and i never exceeded my allotted 500 MB usage. August last year airtel billed into my accound 18,000 Rs of ISD charged from no where. I contacted their customercare thousand times and I could only get the amount reversed on 3 months time. Then too there were charges like interst every month on that amount the rental they charged even after deactivating my data card number. Even after 6 months I couldnt get them to reverse these charges and I had to close the connection.
Such is the state of affairs in Airtel Bangalore.
