A filmstar can not be the Ambassador of the Indian sporting contingent. Bollywood and Sports are totally different. In sports, you earn your name by competing against the best in the world. In Bollywood, you may succeed on media publicity and brand name. In any case, nation can not feel proud for most of Bollywood kind of films.

bollywood is controlled by dee gaang.thats why khaans are ruling while indus are side lined. even sena can't do anything.
Brand ambassador must be a person immediately recognisable by the public. Milkha Singh himself says that after the film Bhaag Mikha, he has been receiving hundreds of fan mail, which was not so earlier as the young crowd out there do not remember him. Salman is hugely popular and will bring in the eyeballs. He is doing it without any monetary consideration. Why make an issue out of it?
Till his name is cleared of all the cases I think it is not proper to appoint him for any national or inter-national event. Of course if he proves to ba a good ambassodor for India why not choose him.
EVERYBODY IS ENTITLED TO HAVE THEIR AREA OF REPRESENTATION. WHY TO BRING A FILM PERSONALITY IN SUCH A HUGE EVENT OF OLYMPICS AND DENY SPORTSPERSON CHANCE TO REPRESENT THEIR AREA. ARE V LIVING DYING ONLY OFR FILMS AND CRICKET? V V BAD
Why is it always that people who are Reel heroes represent the real heroes of India who actually go out and win medals for our country. India sports ambassador should be someone like sania mirza,saina nehwal,abhinav bindra, Gagan narang, sushil kumar etc.
