Please shut-up. If you cant encourage please stay away. Dont criticize just for the sake of it.
Everybody knew that Hokey is our National Game, but all publicity goes to cricket,,,,Why???
Because of our biased media,,,,,,,,,
Our media covers our national game winners in few lines and loosers in cricket covered in full pages in newpaper, hours long discussion on tv etc. We dont know much about our hokey stars but but due to unwanted coverage of these anti-nation (match fixers) cricketers are our very familiar characters and heros of our ad compains...

We are talking Hockey because we win !!! It is win what matters. If we keep losing in cricket , it will also be forgotten.

Money also matters...Hockey lacks to attaract the best sportsperson becauze they go to cricket for more money and better future.

That is because cricket is TV friendly game. there is time between each ball for the advertisers whereas hockey is extremely fast paced and in a fraction of second the action shifts from one half to another thereby denying the advertisers any opportunity to air their products. Moreover, unlike cricket, hockey lasts for a mere 70 minutes with a break of 5 minutes or so. This means that the average focus on each player(22 players playing at the same time)is merely 3 minutes which is in stark contrast to cricket.
Cricket is a game played only by a few small commonwealth countries. And winning soem matches against small countries like Srilanka and Bangla Desh less than the size of our states is being supported madly by Indians and cricketers earn huge money because of the TV support and ads. Please support Indian hockey team so that the players can earn more money, and it will attract more people to the game. Here the team has to compete against major european and asian countries also.

true.......our hockey team needs support from the people of India, its time we revive our national game, our true strength will be tested against teams like aus, germany and pakistan, but if we can finish in the top 3 this olympics it would be an achievement. corporates.....put some money in this game and see results in the next 3 years.Well done Mr.Micheal Knobbs.......
Congratulations to Indian Hockey Team. Hope media and Indian sports loving people now will give more importance to 'National Game - Hockey' than 'Business Game - Cricket.'

Ban cricket for 2 years just how Indo Pak matches are banned.Corporates will go crazy in search of brand ambassadors and as such Sandeep Singh will become one.
Match fixers will have no other option but to put their money on hockey or kabaddi.
This way,by banning cricket other sports can be promoted.

Banning a game to promote another cannot be the solution. The reason why cricket flourishes and games like hockey and football is because Indians, generally, are easy going and averse to hard work. This attitude squarely fits with the game of cricket where all the proceedings are at a leisurely pace and hence people are ready to play/watch the game even for five days.Contrast this with something like hockey, footbal, basketball, etc. where the duration is 70, 90 or 40 minutes but requires lots of hard work and stamina with the added risk of getting hurt badly and you have a sure recipe for their non-acceptance by the public. Please see, even our leaders/media/film stars play friendly cricket matches amongst themselves and not hockey, football or kabaddi.
