Watch the match and then comment about how Vijender is no good and all that... This was a very contentious decision. It seems people commenting on this forum, and the reporter have never seen a boxing match in their life or see it only once every 4 years
Its disgraceful to say bites the dust as he has lost the match by respected margine of 4 pts only. The heading shows the culture of sports we have in our country. I think these 3-4 medal should be counted as 30 -40 medals looking at the facility and environment provided to our sports person compared to other countries.
Modelling, Media Hype, Lavish Life are some of the highlights that these big names of Indian Sports indulge into. So who cares about the actual sport.....
Viajy singh WANTING a compulsory promotion because he won a bronze ! Shame on the discipline learnt in Army....
Jst Saw the humble origins and brave heart Mary Kom's Village ppl watching her sport in a crowded room on a humble TV Set.... these are the original stuff Champions are made of than these Glamour prone Vijender Singhs !!!

Vijender, Vikas, Manoj, all out, some due to poor performance, some to contentious decisions. Nonetheless, Indian boxers and shooters should continue to persevere. I am sure they will feel bad for performing below par this Olympics, and look to better their performance in the next Asiad and Commonwealth.
This guy had real stuff few years back, limelight and popularity are the culprits, more than focussing on practicing, we saw him more on TV participating in unimportant things is the cause of his failure, frankly speaking this guy is gold prospect unnecessarily ruined his career and opurtunity to win gold
we must admit ,p.r agent in India are very strong , they can make hero out of nothing .. they understand indian psyche ... they know how to rule over indian minds ..
Most hyped boxer ever in history. IF anyone has seen, he came into semi finals in Bejing after a very narrow win and lost badly in semis to claim the bronze. Then he was hyped so badly by media and advertisers that people started to beleive he is championship material. In fact, he lost in CWG games in initial rounds itself. In Asia, he does not have much competetion in his wieght category so he could win Asian games gold medal. But truth has finally come out.
Whoever the media and news channels are hyping are biting the dust. This cannot be a coincidence.

Regarding Asian games gold medal,it was the same Aetov_whom Vijender had defeated 7-0 in the final to clinch gold. The Asian games was in Guangzhou,China a neutral venue. This time Abbos_Aetov took revenge and Vijender is out of form recently.
If India is serious of medals in forthcoming olympics, first accept that south ,north and west indian can win only fewer medalsin some disciplines.Focus on northeast like china .They r more disciplined and can win us medals
