Bharat Ratna should be give first to Raja, Maran, Kannimozhi, Kalmadi, Oomman Chandy, etc etc. They are the people really made India pride. Rahul Amul Gandhi is also eligible

There is nobody in our country now eligible for BHARAT RATNA including Sachin Tendulkar ( whose aim is to earn money for his own, thats all). This award should be scrapped for the time being. Only and only ANNAJI is fit for that award now.He is real Indian hero who thinks for the benefit of others, we all should salute him. May God bless him.
Give Bharath ratna to Dyanchand who deserves the award.
Dyachand is not only a legendary sports personality but he is a military major too, that means he is ready to sacrifise his life for the sake of the country.
Sachin may be a legend in cricket but he plays cricket only for the records and money who represents for private organization so called BCCI. And he did nothing to our nation.

Yeah, rally pathetic, a so called god is struggling for a century for so long and these wlady multi-nationals are looking for their own benefits
How can INDIA call it self Cricket World Champions? Because Hardly Most of the countries around the world play cricket. Only 8 to 10 countries play cricket and the rest are forced to play cricket & if there are no players in those countries they send Indian players there. BULL SHEET THIS CRICKET IS, If INDIA need to come up and get recognisation the media should stop blah blah on cricket and tell these guys to spend money atleast to bring up the FOOTBALL culture to get recognisation. NOW CURSE ME FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH, THATS WHAT INDIA IS FOR.
of late all these national honours are bought. I think, India, at this stage can only boast of two consistent sports persons - Viswanathan Anand, Chess and Pankaj Advani - Snooker.
I prefer Bharat Ratna for Anand instead of Sachin given the nature of sport he plays and won against toughest players of Russia and Europe.

it lost its true value when conferred on late M G Ramachandran by our late president Venkataraman, formerly Union Industries Minister who was instrumental in making the city of Coimbatore the Manchester of India.

In these days of rampant corruption, Venkataraman was unique. When he was Union Industries Minister, he had agreed for supply of textile machineries from Japan. Japan is very well known for payment of commission and they immediately offered it to him. When this issue was brought before the parliament, he agreed that Japan indeed offered him commission and instead of accepting it, he requested Japan government to supply one machinery equal to that amount. The then PM and other parliamentarians gave him a standing ovation in the parliament.

I agree fully. Moreover, Tendulkar has played, like most of the other Brahmin players like Gawaskar, to make his own records and hardly has he helped Inia in winning or saving a match. He cannot be ermed as a good player like Kapil or Dravid. Bharat Ratna is not for selfish people but for them who have worked for Indians.
1) He will not sell the awards 2) He will not take any financial benefits from bharat ratna 3) He will not use Bharat ratna to exempt himself from pre-embarkation checks on the airports
