Where this 70,000 crore number comes? Does it include the 30,000 crores spent for metro and 10,000 crores for Delhi Airport?

It was a rented balloon, IOC or Sports ministry does not own that balloon so what happens to it? I guess it goes back to it's owner's place, getting ready for next events to which it is rented for.

Kalmadi is a visionary sports administrator, his contribution to development of sports in the country cannot be written off..
There are bigger thieves behind the curtain,Kalmadi is on the limelight, only because he is leading from the front like a unrelenting crusader..
First hang those who are involved with spectrum scam, illegal mining,LalooYadav,ShibuSoren,ArjunSIngh,SharadPawar all those who have only looted the country and never given anything in return and then talk about touching Kalmadi..

What the hell? How much tax have you cheated?Cannot you see that the country is emerging as a major power in the world of sports? You lazy ducklings will sit infront of computer and pass silly comments.Go out and play.A sporting nation is a dynamic nation.Do you know how much impact this games have on the development of sports in the country? Sports represents energy, vigour, courage, determination, willingness to excel,it represents the might of our youth,we are a vibrant and emerging nation, the games have proved it !

Mr Shera.. Do you know what amount of money Mr Kalmadi has spend over this mega event. For your kind information i would like to bring to your notice that, we can host Olympic from the money Mr Kalmadi has spent over CWG.

Yes India did well in Commonwealth games. But major power in world of sports is too far fetched.

To be a major power India has to win well in Asiad and have at least 10-15 medals in Olympics.

Officials like Kalmadi are the reason why a country of more than a crore cannot win medals at the global level.

And even if the atheletes did well, Kalmadi has no contribution there!

He sucked money where it was his responsibility and he must be brought to book!

a) set up continuing support for our outstand-
ing athletes and players and give them
their long over due recognition to keep
them motivated.
b) identify the weak areas that need to beefed
up in a defined time frame.
c) continue holding inter region national games
to provide the athletes continuing practice
d) identify what went right and what went wrong
with CWG games.
e) punish the guilty. The heads of incompetents
must roll.

Kalmadi's speech
by Arvind on Oct 15, 2010 08:57 AM  | Hide replies

At the closing ceremony, Kalmadi's speech was looking more of a political speech rather than games closing speech. Trying to please every member of MMS cabinet not to forget special mention to mother Sonia and prince Rahul. When nothing deemed fit for Sonia and Rahul to fit in the speech, it was hilarious to have included their names by saying " we thank Sonia and Rahul to sit in the general category instead of VIP category". What a great contribution they have done by sitting with poor general public. This is a moment every Indian and all athletes present at the CWG closing ceremony will cherish throughout their life. Finally, why the hell he was not instructed to cut down on his speech by the MMS and team, instead the disgraceful man was allowed to project himself as a games mascot in front of the world. What a shame

It was his sincere thanks to those people who helped him pocket millions of Rupees on the name of games. Now the games are over, and its the high time for a fair scrutiny over the money spend on games name.
