symbol of slavery - commonwealth games
by eklavya bansal on Oct 05, 2010 01:12 PM

India should not have decided to organise these games as they are a symbol of slavery. I suppose some of us have forgotten that in 1857 british had killed nearly 70000 people in delhi itself apart from looting it, in this maaner that even nadir shah could not do this in 17 times what they did it in few weeks. queen elizabeth should have be killed brutally as she arrived here. and all jewels of india taken back

Weekdays i am not there on boards as i am at office (unless it is a holiday or i am on leaves) and in office sites like YAHOO/REDIFF are blocked (due to guys using its e mailFacility). So that cutsMe off, i am away for whole day and come back late home. It is only sometimes after 8 or 8.30 pm that i log intoRediff at home.

So how is life otherwise? enjoying the India-Aussie match and the tough encounters....i feel that this test will be a draw one. And by the way what happened to VVS, he came late to bat???

Hey, sorry I went to eat.

VVS had back problem. The match is in balance. If India can get aus all out before 225 and then try to chase down those 250 runs it'll be good interesting test cricket.

I think Australians will be defensive though they might want to draw this match.

Only 2 days are left, i feel the Aussies will go all out and attack, score as many as possible and then maybe put India to get a pretty tough score on final day. To me it looks a draw with only 2 days left

Yeah that is there, home advantage and climate advantage as well. Cooler nations like England, Canada, Scotland, NZ, Wales, etc athletes find it difficult to often humid and hot weather of India.

Why Indian Govt. Invest Rs. 70,000 Crs in CWG ?
by itz Scorpion on Oct 03, 2010 08:35 PM  | Hide replies

I think Indian Govt. is fooling poor in this country. Bcuz presently in India more poor people are living under salary Rs. 3,000 per month with no other facilities. Why not invest this Rs. 70,000 Crs project in given some facilities to poor people in India. like free hospitals, pension, donation, Loans, Jobs etc

Why China? we have enough detractors within our own nation who are ever ready to pull down anything that is good. We had many here on Rediff boards posting all sorts of negetive comments.

All athletes are praising the facilities.
