Re: USA WILL WIN WORLD CUP

nice joke. But anyways giv ur address, we shall all come to beat you as soon as USA are out in 1st or 2nd round.
First of all, I am a die hard India. I root for them be it at any sport - cricket, tennis, hockey, badminton, chess... Infact, I even rooted for them at this years Winter Olympics. Too bad, only a small contingent showed up. It breaks my heart to see our performances at the Olympics in any sport. We only manage to bring in a few medals where as teeny weeny nations as Cuba and others rake in quite a handful. We only rock at cricket. Woo hoo !!! and Kabaddi as well !! Double woo hoo !!! I only desire to see India win atleast 20 medals at the Olympics and make it to the FIFA WorldCup before I die. Or atleast stage the Olympics in India !!! Or the FIFA World cup (we will automatically qualify - YaaaaY !!) Seriously, we need better sports facitlities in India and a fresh mindset of the people to look beyond cricket. Cricket is extremely glamourised and billions is pumped into it. Its time to spent some millions into other sports. Anyways, Go India Go - we lost to Zimabwe today but I will still root for the Indian spirit.
why india is not there in WC...we are 2 billions which is more then half of all the countries population taken together which are playing this WC and we are economicaly sound then more then half the countries playing WC...cant we choose 11 talented players from 2 billion and work on them for 4 years to have a world class team...we can hire coaches from abroad as there is no dirth of money in india...i think the whole system has to get privatised so that there shd be no scope of dirty politics...if some corporate gets a contract that by next WC India shd be qualifying for WC and the revenue from the sponships will be shared among that corporate and players I think we will end up in getting a strong football team....

I wish I could see my country playing in a FIFA world cup some day..we have no dearth of talent, what we require is a good coach for the football team & a international spnser, so that all the requirements are met. I have have enough respect for cricket too...but its high time now, we should think on this.

Lazy Indians have identified themselves with lazy cricket. Cricket is one of the least popular games in the world.ICC tried to popularise it,but failed.T-20 is the latest gimmick. This will also fail. Football is the most popular game in the world. There is no comparison of football with cricket.Cricket will remain in India,if not elsewhere, even after 100 years.Indians are not capable of playing the vigorous, demanding game of football properly.Maybe due to the frailer physical structure. Hence Indians are stuck with lazy games like cricket which is the garbage left by the British, when they left India.

I agree 100% with you..its about our politicians. Their are just not interested in investing in football, they just happy with their "own" cricket. Football is the game of the world and sadly, India is nowhere yet.

Dont forget India had qualified for 1950 football world cup but with drew as FIFA did not allow playing with bare foot
Spain is a very good team.david villa, torres, iniesta, xavi, xavi alonso, gives them the best midfield and attack.but i do not see them going more far than quarter finals.Argentina with messmerising messi and milito will be devastating.Argentina will definately be in the Semis...................
FYI india was very good in football and played in SEMIFINAL in olympic in the year 1954. after 1954 due to dirty politics in football association of india, indian football graph is started downfalling, currently india is on 132 position. there are many others countries behind india, but they all are very small and undeveloped countries, out of most we have not heard even name also.
