Even though i would be supporting Argentina and Portugal...looks like its gonna be a tough contest here...good chance for a dark horse to take away the trophy

Because it's an International game. Cricket is only famous in Asia & some other continent.

Each team have to qualify to appear in football world cup, except host nation, and India didn't!!! In other words Indian team is CRAP!!! We can only play cricket on non-bouncy pitches!! HAHA
It is probably the most eagerly awaited sports tournament in the world. The last WC finals were watched by nearly 2 billion people, a record.
This time, we will see a lot of unheralded teams in the fray. No team to pull off surprises like France did in 2006, when they reached the finals with an aging bunch of stars.
Which channel telecasts it by the way ? Is it ESPN or Star or Ten Sports ?
1 billion people including me treat cricket as a religion, maybe around 1 million follow soccer(which is 1/100th of cricket viewership. Who wants to see players just passa ball around and boring 0-0 draws? Cricket has scope for so much in a passage of play..and i would rather watch a tendulkar or a raina or a hussey anyday, rather than those few indians who think its cool to support brazil or germany or whatever. Support Indian sports first!!

Cricket can never compare to football in popularity. How many people watch Ranji Trophy matches in India? In contrast, Santosh Trophy ( football )matches draw crowds.
Worldwide, football is the most popular sport around. Even war ravaged nations have football teams. Can you say that for cricket ?
Cricket is a colonial legacy and a boring game.
Wake up and see the real world, not the world of illusion created by your attachment to cricket.

"Support Indian sports first!!".... So are you suggesting that Cricket is an Indian sport??... NO its NOT!! Guli-Danda maybe but not CRICKET!! OMG haha...
when i was 14yrs old that time I saw first time Football World Cup and my fvt. team was Brazil (fvt. players Bebeto, Ronaldao, Cafu) and since then I see all the matches of Brazil team, I feel like our Indian Team is playing.
