Both goals in second-half came from counter-attacks. They started at the German penalty box. Both times I saw a wave of 3 with one as backup moving up the field in lightning speed. Speed, speed, speed - I counted it took them 5 seconds to get the ball from their penalty box into the English goal. So fast.

.FIFA has categorically rejected using Goal Line Technology(much like 3rd umpires) in the past.... reasons given: it will slow the game, reasonable cos in cricket you have some gap after evry ball where such an issue can be addressed... other reason given was that it would take away referee'e importance(lbw is still umpire's call)...other reason given was such a technology may not be feasible to implement in all soccer playing nations....anyway if members are enthusiastic then FIFA might revisit this rule.. btw this would not have changed the results of this game...I think the Germans were better in all aspects of the game

ENGLAND TEAM IS MOST OVERRATED ...THANKS TO LOCAL BRITISH MEDIA ... THEY NEVER HAD ANY CLASS ... THEY ARE JUST GOOD FOR EPL ... WHEN IT COMES NATIONAL SQUAD ... THEY ARE NO WHERE ... 3 LIONS HAAA ... 3 KITTENS ... AND OVER HYPED ROONEY ..
They use subtle hand signals, facial expressions and eyes to communicate and lighting fast passing moves.
They also work according to a well defined lightning fast strategy and their execution is perfect.
When it comes to maneuvering, Germans are past masters, their Army worked the same way in the Sahara desert in 1940-41, encircling the bewildered and stupefied British, trapping them and destroying them en-masse.
The British succeeded only due to large numbers and good supplies and American help etc.
When it comes to strategic maneuvering, Germans are the best in Europe. Russians, English, Serbs, Italians look puny in front of these German masters.

I don't know if you are talking war or football.
In football, in the world cup, Germans have never beaten the Italians - ever.

I am talking of maneuvers and maneuvering, strategic positioning and delivering.
I am talking of physical excellence to achieve something beyond one's ability.

I am talking of about that decision cycle or OODA Loop, the process by which an entity (either an individual or an organization) reacts to an event.
According to this idea, the key to victory is to be able to create situations wherein one can make appropriate decisions more quickly than one's opponent.
Developed out of Boyd's Energy-Maneuverability theory
"Time is the dominant parameter. The team which goes through the OODA cycle in the shortest time prevails because his opponent is caught responding to situations that have already changed."
Boyd hypothesized that all intelligent organisms and organizations undergo a continuous cycle of interaction with their environment. Boyd breaks this cycle down to four interrelated and overlapping processes through which one cycles continuously:
* Observation: the collection of data by means of the senses * Orientation: the analysis and synthesis of data to form one's current mental perspective * Decision: the determination of a course of action based on one's current mental perspective * Action: the physical playing-out of decisions

in war Britain has not lost a major war since 1066 ... yeas 1000 years.
There is no question about that - at 2-2 it is whole new match.
The formations are different, the spirit is different and one plays standard soccer instead of playing to equalise.
Having said that I agree with what some commentators said. In the search to equalise in second half the lack of speed of the England backs was painfully apparent. The whole team looked slow.
Other teams have had to play to equalise but they don't concede goals this easily on the fast break.
You have to be able to run the length of field up and down and this England team except for the 15 minutes before half just seemed slow.
Then the midfield skills of a Brazil, Argentina or Italy has never been Englands strong point - more like hoof the ball forward.
