a six member team had come to check how preparations were going for games,,,whole delhi was put on hold,,every major route was blocked n traffic created bedlam all over.....i was just wondering what wud be the scenarion when games take place....
This has been a bastardly act of the Govt and officials. They have eaten away the public money through a tamasha known as Common(man's)Wealth loot games. I would love to see that day when this whole tamasha collapes, games do not take place because things are not ready and when our Prime Minister has to standup and say sorry to the world. These politicians and officials do not deserve to be killed by public. The amount of money that has been eaten away in the name of these games and the amount of public harassment that has taken place is incomparable. O God please help us and kill these demons of corruption of our country.
Spend it on children sounds great till one tries to get into the details of how, create some vague scheme , and ensure that there is no accountability and the money ends up in his and his ilks pockets, this man made a career by being a sycophant, now that there are too many singing bhajans of Sonia mata and his singing bhajans is not getting any returns he tries populists comments to stay in the news, he is a has been and should reconcile himself to that fact.

Aiyer would have loved to spend the money on his children. He is a pseudo socialist.
Fact is Aiyar is right and fact is that is not intentional - he has said the truth only becoz he may have not received his share of the loot - or else he would have said the same about the grand AICC meetings/parties with 15 and 24 course meals, which also have lots of wastage.
The point taken about splurging on Games is right in the context that firstly India is not going to get any sizeable number of medals, secondly India is very poor at maintenance of the infrastructure after the events are over, thirdly the amount spent on the infrastructure is huge and the cuts and commissions are also huge which could have been spent on basic necessities of lots of children. Incidentally a mere 600 rupees can take care of the nutrition, education and sanitation of a child as per World Vision (I know becoz I have been sponsoring the same for a child) so the amount in consideration could easily have taken care of lots of kids.
To expect this of a government who has allowed rice and wheat to rot which could have fed 1.4 crore people for a month (as per SC today) is way too much. I hope the slogan next time will be Congress ke laath aam aadmi ko ek paath.
I think Mr Aiyar is the only person speaking truth on behalf of congress ...so much money wasted ..instaed of this it should have been spent on building infrastructures and educating poor kids ...! wat a shame

do U know that how much ticket has been booked?Do U think that foreigner will come to see this unimportant useless games?if they come, they will come to visit India, not to visit CWG. so no Q of getting money back, only some contractors and party leaders getting money....job creation is possible in other events also...
I support Mr. Aiyar......when lots of children n people dnt hv their food n basic education, health, spending (wasting) so much money in these rubbish event is unnecesasry
