Germans were too good a team...Argentina always had problems with Brazil, Germany, France and Italian teams...They won comfortably over others...But these teams proved to be a thorn in the flesh...Maradona did not have Plan B and Plan C for Germany...The Germans are excellent strategists and team players and it proved fatal for Argentina...Its good that Maradona has decided to exit....

There are still other options where in he can continue as a coach and have a team of 5 best strategists and psychologists for the next world cup 2014 with a brilliant young team to coach in the next world cup...They must train very hard and must undergo a training programme something like what the Shaolin monks do in China....
actually germans somehow manage a goal early or inbetween first half...opposition then goes all out for attack..and germans keep scoring in counter attacks..true test will come if germans are a goal down early...but still i think this team can pull through..though mueller will be missed...

you are absolutely right.....it was the same case with England....It would have been very interesting if Arg had equalized...but credit to Germany...they have been very clinical and swift in executing their attack....

Could it be possible that Germany is winning because they had a chance to practice with the new ball in their Bundesliga? Anyway, not to take credit from them, they were really clinical. I just wonder how did they lose to Serbia

Germans are good strategists and they always maintain a low profile even till semifinals and lunge forward in full strength...They are excellent strategists and have an edge over any best team including Brazil...

Hari ur right most of the time...I think Maradona was surely not the best but you cannot take everything away from him also..He won a world cup for Argentina on pure individual brilliance...That was great...But he is not my favourite he was not a gud team player like Messi..but ya he did few exceptional things for sure may be in Drugs swing but he scored one of the best Goals I think he was able to do it with ample of Coccaine..:-)..Indian people I dont know y they prefer Drug addicts..pele was a true sportsman maradona was a Druggy...its simple thats y he was banned to distroy the name of Game

No doubt on this score. A global poll also said the same. He outnumbered the rest, Pele came second. Pele was good only stats wise else play wise he was ordinary.

Yes, u are right. But the fact is that Diego Maradona remains the greatest footballer of all time ahead of all u mentioned. U may not agree that but there are millions across the globe who do so. And it was proved in many polls that he is the best ever.

Germany will find it tough withour Mueller..but yet they have all potential to win...But they have to check David Villa..he is dangerous but I think German defence is too gud with Phillip Lahm in lead you cand dodge him easily not even Messi...so lets c its 55 5 for Germany and 45 for Spain..but the margin wont be more than 1 goal

Zidane was one man army. Because of his alone effort France won in 98 and reached in final of last WC. Mattarazi cheated to save Italy. Brazil always have quality players which helped Pele to score goals so I don't rate Pele as best.

I think some defenders too stand with these stars, though they stop goals. Mathaus for Germans, Paolo Maldini for Italy too should have to be in the list of great players
Maradona 2nd goal against England just after hand goal is goal of the century where he alone sprint from 60 meters and all the defenders were helpless to stop him.

what efforts..you need to grow up..every goal is result of good effort..i would rate linekar,stoichkov,cannigia,schillachi,babeto,romario,klinsmann,mathaews,voeller,milla etc etc..as very good team players...

Spain will give Germany a run for their money. No pushovers, they will fight it out and emerge winners. They are along with Italy the best from Europe who play natural and pure football, the kind u would enjoy watching.

agreed..similar goal was scored by baggio too..in fact several players have done that..but no denying that maradona is best amongst the lot..but his arrogance is too much and has led to his down fall.
