Brazil deserved the loss. Their inflated egos were aptly burst yesterday. Success had gone to their heads & blinded them completely.

Pat's comments were the best to describe Brazil's defeat. Dutch deserved victory.

Brazil didn't play like 5 time champions
by Gnanagurusamy B on Jul 03, 2010 09:23 AM

Netherlands will definetly reach finals, and might take the cup this time. The team looks very strong and sportive. Brazil's star player KAKA got red card( 2 yellows in a match , second elbow itself deserves a red card) in the group stage which shows his profession in this game. Brazil was struggling against North Korea. 3 of their goals in this tournament is not clean. ( 2 offsides and a handball goal). Not sure why they miss highly skilled Ronaldinho.

ramchandra ...

grapes are so sour for you ... because you could not get them ...
Be a sport and accept that neither did this Brazil team play good footbal, nor did they have the talent / capability of previous teams.
The drawn match with Portugal showed their weakness.

match fixing?
by jack Pais on Jul 03, 2010 08:54 AM  | Hide replies

to me it looked like match fixing by bookies. huge money and money is great temptation.
otherwise, Brasil is the undisputed world champion- Brasil will always remain number one team in football, and one match fixing can do no harm to them.

It seems all cricket players of india are making comments without seeing the teams strength. Holland also on the favorites list and number 4 team in the world. If Brazil can win North Korea(105) 2-1 goals what difference you are making between Brazil and Holland?

Football is an unpredictable game. Course of the game can change in few seconds. Only the fittest wins a match on a given day.
On the whole, Brazil didn't play the way they did in first half and Dutch out played them in second half.

singaporeans couldnt sleep alnite...
by abdul shakib on Jul 03, 2010 08:26 AM

Truely none of the singaporeans slept. We all thought BRASIL would sail past the DUTCH. But one defense mistake cost too many.

The way the Brasilians started with dynamic goal and one not allowed coz of offside.

Millions of fans here still cant beleive that the samba dance has cum to an end.
