So what is one expecting that he will keep winning all grand slams and tournaments that he plays till he dies or retires. Definitely every player will have a downwards trend no matter how high he is or was and that is pretty natural. Only point is how low does he want to go in his career before he retires or can he really make a comeback. Retiring at high would be the best so that people can remember him from there rather than dropping low and then people feeling sorry for him and not really remembering how a great player he is or WAS.
Age is catching up to roger. He is past 28, and now you've these guys hitting at 135 miles/hr.
What we are witnessing here is start of end of Federer.New lads are coming/should come aged 22-24 with very good al round play.Future of tennis will be about hard-hard-hitting.
Thanks Roger for entertainment in all these yrs.Good luck for your life.

Every tennis player has to go through this and Federer is no exception. He is already a legend. When he defeated Pete Sampras in 2002 it was end of Sampras and rise of "Fedex".History repeats itself. It will be tough to beat his grandslams record. Before retiring I hope he wins few grandslams and retires with grace.

YA U R RITE...BAD PATCH AND ALSO THE AGE FACTOR. AFTERALL HE IS ALSO A HUMAN AND NOT A MACHINE...SO ITS BOUND TO HAPPEN IF NOT TODAY BUT IN NEAR FUTURE FOR SURE. BUT I BELIEVE HE CAN STILL PLAY FOR ANOTHER 2-3YRS IF HE KEEPS HIMSELF INJURY FREE.

i think roger has to be choosy about participating in the tournament so that he can avoid fatigue. HE IS STILL THE VERY BEST AMONG THE REST.. ROGER RULEZZZZ
