Wondering why?
by KKing on Jul 01, 2010 02:51 PM

I m wondering why federer is so successful. he is not atheletic nor tallest. But still the most sucessful. even women tennis player have bigger biceps and triceps than him.

Losing one or two matches doesnt end a era... winning and losing are part and parcel of game. You cant be invincible always... geart player have abilities to overcome smaller defeats. Few year back people were advising sachin to hang bat.

Fedex lost to Nadal in 2008 final of wimbledon. This kind of comments can be given only by people who are not even near by these games. In INDIA people sitting in AC rooms try to give comments without any knowing realistics. We have lot of examples in the country, those who have done NOTHING in there playing carrer, not to name anybody, and they are the expert columnists. Every one has a bad phase, everyone is out of form at one time. Wait and watch, fedex proved those idiots wrong in 2008 and he will prove them wrong very soon...

i think u know lil abt sports. hav u seen armstrong win after his comback. age do factor for motivation & strenght which is now lacking in fedex. if it was rafa i would have endorsed your views but not with fedex. fedex's era is over. maube he may win frew tournmanets here & there but not consistently. U can mark my words

End of an Era
by sharat bhide on Jul 01, 2010 01:21 PM

It looks as though the era of tennis being played with lot of flair and artistry is fast getting over. The present winners have all been hard hitters of the ball and a terrific stamina & athletism to go with.We enjoyed Roger's accurate but lethal serve and service returns with pin point accuracy which meant he did not have to exert himself much. That's the reason he has lasted this long and an injury free career. We hope he bounces back in style with adequate preparations before each major tournament

Still a great player but on the decline. Good for the game as more new players are coming thr and the game would not be one sided as earlier with only Nadal offering competition.

Sania is not a patch on FedEx. Sania would only quick dive downhill from now on where as FedEx will swing between ups and downs from hereon.
