Do we have a sports minister? He is also tweeting around until things crash. If the players are not paid the problem is the creation of the HI. Giving ultimatum is crazy and that HI official to be given the ultimatum too. They are alareday low paid compared to cricketrs and that pay is also needs to be begged with these idiots. He also told the players that if they get a podium finish in the world cup, sponsors would come in and one crore will be handed out to the players. The 1.74 crores recieved from SAHARA do not go into the national men team's payment but, also the women team and the junior teams. Moreover, a lot of it going into organising the Hockey World Cup, which is a great step in reviving hockey in India. The timing of the player's actions is highly controversial.

The striking hockey players have said that if Hockey India is unable to clear their dues, they are ready to participate in the Hockey World Cup at their own expenditure.
Earlier, the striking players walked out of an inconclusive meeting with the Hockey India officials, prompting the establishment to serve a fresh 48-hour ultimatum to the players to resume training or get axed from the World Cup squad.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab Governments have offered to provide financial assistance to the hockey players and sponsor the team for the World Cup tournament in New Delhi next month.

see players have clearly stated that for last tournament that took place was sponcered by themselves. when they won the match in abroad recently they have been payed only 14dollar per day, and players r raising quest y they have been stopped by board on contacting sponcer sahara.......... even hockey board was not able to provide camer as demanded by ose Brasa (coach) for training..
