Sad state of affairs, indians are living in shells. They should use this opportunity to enhance relation with people of outer world in a healthy manner.
To help them how to behave respectfully to guests of all colors and genders? Who will teach the ill-mannered indians not to be too curious about others and not stare at them or more importantly not to take advantage of their vulnerability in a new unknown place? Specially indians need a crash course to behave with ladies, who come from countries where they were treated EXACTLY equal to men. Advise visitor ladies(if they have white skin, specially) to carry pepper spray! I can only pray(!) and hope for the visitor ladies for a good time in north india!

Why are you guys are fighting each other. Don't just sit and talk and scribble on discussion boards like this. See the world before you write anything here.. Some one writes here saying do not beg for coins. I am visiting New York(The world's Financial capital!!), I see people begging here(By the way they are not Indians!!). All fingers are not equal. There are rich and poor people everywhere. (No wonder if you find beggers even in Heaven!). Do not talk about staring or racial things. Do you think there is no racism in UK? Ofcourse there is. If an Indian goes there they consider you as Pakistani because of your Brown skin. They call you Paki. I have heard one of my friend's uncle being addressed as Paki there in UK. Do you think women do not get raped in West? Yes They get raped. But I appreciated the system and the security measures the Cops take here. More security cameras and sincere cops are here. And about pickpocketing. Ha ha.. Evening 6pm in broad day light in a train guys one of my friend was mugged at knife point in New Jersey, USA. His Iphone and cash both are gone. Thanks god my friend did not get stabbed!! Bad things are there everywhere guys. If you guys are really patriotic you will give necessary to be safe advise rather than commenting on un neceessary things in public blogs like this..

They should add advice to the locals.
1. Don't ogle obscenely at women 2. Don't beg for coins, change, cash or whatever else. 3. Don't crowd tourists - people like to have their space. 4. Don't pick pockets. 5. Don't expect others to appreciate "low standards" especially for toilets and ther public conveniences like transportation.

1.dont mislead people when help is asked 2. dont ask exorbitant prices for transport(this must be emphasized) in tax, car etc or for any other service 3. educated english speaking delhites must come forward and help visitors as much as possible.

All educated ppl of delhi also r from outside! The original habitats have been pushed to old delhi. Nevertheless all are rude.

Yes, after STEALING money from the rest of the country, they can afford to be well behaved. Let us see if Delhi ever gets invited to host another international event? We will of course all the non - southies for that.

There is no qualms among them, they r proud of 'looks'.. absolutely uncultured people can think this way! This was even said repeatedly in IBN live that delhi is a wrong choice because of its citizens. Southies/easterners/west indians of delhi also are rude.

It is dangerous to have a title like "Common Wealth Games" for an event in Delhi.
The predominantly English-challenged people of Delhi will ask for a translation of these words "Common Wealth Games" from the ones among them who have basic knowledge of English.
They will translate it as
Common = Public Wealth = Property Games = free-for-all-fun
These three words are enough to endanger anything foreign with white skin in Delhi in the duration of these games.
You don't need to be genius to figure out what lies ahead during these games.
